I remember reading that she is Ono's favourite character in SF series in an interview on GamesTM (was a four or six pages interview published in one of the issues of 09 I think).

Mmm. We could only hope for something very unique to this character. I honestly do feel it'll head into that direction.

I hoped you wouldn't hate on Oro, but here we are. ;)

Why do people keep saying "if they bring Sakura back, she wont be changed designwise?" She already has a canon older look, that has nothing to do with being a school girl. They would 100% use that that design

Because this is Street Fighter.

Although after Ken's redesign, Sakura wearing grown up clothes might happen in SFV. I can already see people complaining about the redesign...

How often are we expecting the character DLC updates to be? I'm guessing a character each month if possible, maybe every 2 months. Also I'm going to guess that Akuma will be the first DLC character if he's not in the initial 16.

In this particular case I thought it was pretty clear I was teasing him. I kind of doubt they will change her design though as they opted to stay with it in SF4 and wrote in a reason for her to keep wearing the uniform.

They are making bolder steps with this game and a lot of the early stuff they did with SF4 was playing off nostalgia so I wouldn't rule it out though.

Sean or Alex. Both have some hard hitting attacks, with Sean's being more MMA inspired and Alex having those painful normals.

Edit: Necalli looks VERY much like Gill in the pic posted on the previous page.

I'm kind of surprised that myth is still alive because it's incredibly easy to disprove. Boot up any of the games that feature Karin and look for a copyright notice for her. There isn't one. Conversely, boot up a game with strider in it and you'll note the copyright notices for him in there. Simples! :D

That argument is irrelevant. When we have Strider who is in the same exact issue as Karin Kanzuki. It was stated a long time ago that Ono can easily get the rights to her, but he's in fact "too lazy" as he stated himself to go through the process.

This may just be the moment she finally arrives.
 
If we get Alex and Urien, I'll be satisfied with the initial roster, as that'll provide me with at least 5 characters I'm a fan of. (Nash, Alex, Urien, Ryu & Necalli) Then I can start campaigning for my choice DLC characters. (Of which there are many.)
 
I really hope they bring at least 3 more female characters to the party. At least one of them needs to be a new no shit badass non-prissy girl like Makoto...

Five? Holy heck, I wouldn't even know what to do with that level of choice :o
I felt lost when Smash Bros managed to give me a whopping 3 characters I wanted to play. It's been so long since I've had such a wide array that i'd almost forgotten how to make a choice XD

I don't really play competitively though, I mean just to see their stories, costumes, moves, etc.

I'm really hoping this game has a solid amount of single player content.

Just like you can be wrong lol. Least they are claiming to have a source. You seem pretty convinced she won't be in this game.

I don't care either way, just funny how seeing you repeat that she won't be in over and over.

You can be wrong too actually, especially considering your entire argument is based on a baseless misconception and your insistence she won't be included.

If you're so sure she won't be in why don't you give us some sort of a guarantee, like say you'll never play the game if she's in the initial roster or such.

Lol you guys should just avatar bet over it (that Karin is in the initial roster). I think Karin has a decent chance because she's been requested for like ever. I personally don't care for her and am sick of the school girl motif.

This is a really weird post.

You were all ready to main her when you knew nothing about her, even though shes an existing character. And somehow instead of looking into said character before deciding to main her, you just assumed she was a shoto?

I'm not insisting she's going to be in though, I'm just pointing out his argument is based on basically nothing and he's basically just posting the same baseless claims over and over.

Also I'm not buying the game until she's added to the roster anyway so it seemed appropriate.

They kept everyone's design the same in SF4, not just hers. it was a reunion of Street Fighter, an all star celebration. They even added in characters that didn't make sense for the timeline like the SF3 characters just cause, and they don't even have an official explanation for them(the explanation to begin with doesn't matter)

This time, i fully expect them to carefully examine each character based on changes in their moveset and appearance

They are definitely putting more thought into it this time, but I don't know if they'll take that "big of a risk" with her. I could see it going either way, but time will tell, if she is even in to begin with.

I'm not really on the "hate bandwagon" per se but I'd rather see diverse characters rather than a bunch of ones with similar moves.

I think what they did with Ken was good though, hopefully they will mix the others up a bit too.
