Street Fighter V Beta Access Codes (Gamestop Preorder Information)

I'm thinking about going this route. I've had my pre order from best buy for months and never received anything while my friend after I pressured him to pre order it yesterday got it and already has it downloaded :/

I placed my order on PSN a month ago but their late response forced me to go this route.
 
For those of you still waiting on Best Buy, the best place to get updates from them is on their forums (do not call their customer service line...they will not know). There were a few posts asking regarding the code on their forums, but I wound up creating a thread with some information for them (as the BB reps on the forum seemed a little clueless after the E3 announcement regarding how the Beta would work). Let's hope they get things straightened out by Thursday....
 
Had a preorder from Gamestop for a while and still didn't get the code. Preordered from Amazon 1 minute ago and already got my code.
 
Same here, I preordered from Amazon during e3 and didn't receive my code. I even talked with a customer service agent last night and she assured me I would get my code no later than the 28th.... Well that's the last day of the beta. Gave it until this morning, cancelled my preorder and rebought the game. Same account same everything and received my code literally with 10 seconds. (US account).

Do yourself a favor, cancel and preorder again.
 
Silly that Amazon is insta-sending codes for new pre-orders but existing ones like me are still waiting. I am chatting with a customer service person now to get it resolved.

So at first he was like 'the beta doesn't start until Jul 23, you will have your code by then'. He is right, it doesn't start until then, but then I told him codes were going out to everyone who just preordered immediately, and they were supposed to go out Jul 20. I pushed him a bit and he looked into it again, and came back with 'oh look I see that there's a code reserved for you'. So yeah, issue resolved, but not sure why this didn't happen automatically.

But.... don't you lose out on your e-3 promo discount by doing that?

What promo discount? I didn't see any additional savings by preordering during e3. Did you? No change for me.

beta is for EU too and they start both the same day/or very close one from other
 
Hmm. I redeemed code from my computer and it got added to my account, but can't figure out how to pre-download it. anyone know how do I send it to my PS4 to download with my computer?

edit: nevermind, figured it out, it just appeared on my download list.

Maybe it was just amazon Canada then. They had a promo during E3- pre-order 2 games save 20% preorder 3+ games save 30%. Needless to say it was an incredible offer, and most people pre-ordered 10+ games.

So that's why I couldn't cancel my existing SFV order.
 
This is by far the worst Street Fighter game I've ever played in my life. I've followed the series since the arcade release with the 2 huge buttons on each side but I've never seen a screw up this bad before*. Instead of having a fun competitive 1v1 match you load the game up to a black screen and occasionally get messages saying something like it can connect to the server or update.

Who wants to play that crap? Does anyone think this is fun? This has to be the most screwed up release of the entire year**.

Capcom better get it's act together, if I don't see an indication this game has improved significantly by the time it's released I'll cancel my preorder, or even worse, I'll still buy it and just complain on the internet a lot.

* Alright it's still more fun in it's current state than SFxT was.

** Except for PC Arkham Knight, that was prolly worse.
 
UK here. I pre-ordered the US version on US PSN (...wut? I was always gonna buy it anyway, and it's not on the UK PSN for some reason, and it's cheaper anyway), and there's no sign of any beta downloading onto my PS4.

Is there still time for me to do the US Amazon pre-order trick?

It appears canceling/reordering in a sense locked my account from getting an email.

She gave me a code through chat.

Is it safe to assume that there will be tons of streams and footage of this beta to watch, or is Capcom going to block that stuff? (I don't know why they would.)

When you turn the current Beta on it immediately pops up a notice the video is blocked.

I'm assuming it will stay that way for the Beta as they prolly don't want buggy Beta footage all over the place.

beta surely has streaming/recording blocked, some people is going to stream it anyway with a capture card for sure though.

Oh yeah, duh. I managed to forget that they were actually testing new functionality, so I get why they'd block it.
 
Gonna be practicing with Guile in USFIV before the beta. I don't ever play charge characters but I really want to give Nash a try, his mix up potential looks like a lot of fun. Need to get a feel for how they play.

Should play poison, then. Guile plays nothing like sf5 Charlie.
