Kinda regretting not getting a PS4 stick at Evo, but it wouldn't have fit in my luggage.. and I wouldn't have had any money to go to the Twitch afterparty on Sunday
The dirty secret about SC2 is that it was never as well-liked as people make it out to be. A large portion of SC2's audience were Tekken players who glommed onto it because the only other current Namco fighter was freakin' Tekken 4. Once Tekken 5 came onto the scene, the Tekken die-hards pretty much all bailed.
And trust me, there was plenty of mud being flung at SC2 for the many problems it had. If the old Soulcalibur.com forum archives still existed, there'd be more than enough proof of that.

A question that I probably know the answer to. My hands are slightly messed up.....and it would be much easier for me, I am guessing, to map V-Skill to HP + HK and V-Trigger to MP + MK, but I am guessing much like Focus attacks in SF 4, I am out of luck, aren't I?

KBR's Marvel win was as real as it gets. His Hulk makes the character look S tier. Screw people talking shit about his team and win

Wow, the stick has no resistance at all. I am not sure how I feel about it so far. It will take time to adjust, because the resistance on my SA guides my execution.
Still, I played two hours of Xrd without serious issues. Double tapping is much faster, though, and my Eddie sandwich strings are more precise than ever. This makes me think it will be a good change overall.
The buttons are definitely harder to press in, but it hasn't messed up my execution yet. Pianoing took a bit more effort, and I wonder if my hands might become more tired sooner as a result of the Kuros. I am less excited about the buttons, and I might swap those out. I will at least give them through the SFV beta to feel them out. It might just be a period of adjustment.

It's pretty easy.
You just put Vergil in the back. Vergil is an honorable swordsman. No guns, no super armor, no cheap command grabs. Fair.

At the start of the round we both use xfactor, and waste it so no one has an unfair advantage.

Besides Justin not being an "outsider," people were rooting for him because he beat ChrisG and almost beat Flocker, so it had a nice hero vs villain narrative. Also his characters don't have super armor.
Enough people were rooting for Justin to repeat his win this year that KBR beating him made him the bad guy I guess.

What the fuck is even Real Marvel? It's not like their teams don't have set plays and one touch kill shenanigans. I thought Jwong and the other "Gods" wanted to rejuvenate the scene by placing bounties on themselves. What was that nonsense, if they can't accept defeat? Marvel is the filthiest game played by a large number of people in mainstream circles right now. Dudes should be walking out of sets thinking "I need Jesus" after some of the scumminess they witness or perform on someone else and there is no "one scummy is better than the other" about it.
Yeah Justin had decades worth of reputation behind him so of course people were going to respect his play and win. It would be like Daigo winning SF4, it's just expected.

cool, so bison can cancel specials into EX specials, and EX specials into other EX specials during v-trigger. they all chain together so you can get some nice damage and it looks pretty cool. from vesper's video.
