And yet, in every movie I see in theaters, when the trailer plays the theater is uproariously laughing throughout it.
this was my experience this past weekend when i saw Ant man, i was cringing the trailer was so bad and dumb

His performance in Destiny says otherwise. I fear that his fantastic acting in Game of Thrones is the outlier.
A shame, the special effects were kind of neat.
That's probably the most tragic part of this. You have this kinda amazing looking visual effect wasted on a fucking lame-ass Adam Sandler nostalgia-grab.A shame, the special effects were kind of neat.
from wiki:
Budget $8890 million
How much you guys think they poured into marketing? another 150?
does anyone doubt it can do well?
Sandler rarely bombs right?
That one got me lmao. Goddamn.Well, to be fair, it's only 11 critics so far. Surely it can't be that b--
"There are legitimate excuses for going to see "Pixels." Losing a bet, perhaps. Having a loved one held for ransom. Maybe a serious blow to the head."
...Oh.
"Adam Sandler looks as depressed as a film critic who has to keep reviewing Adam Sandler comedies."

Wait, Chris Columbus is directing this?
I mean, I haven't seen all his filmography but this looks like the least-Columbusy thing he's done.
She will turn that ship around like Marissa Tomei.Ah man I didn't know Michele Monahagan had been demoted to the "love interest of a Sandler type" phase of her career already. Shame, you will be missed.
Man, I've seen a bunch of his movie reviews & this is easily the most mad he got at a film. Even Jim Sterling commented on the video saying "& I thought I could be vicious."
Could just, like, not go.Man, I've seen a bunch of his movie reviews & this is easily the most mad he got at a film. Even Jim Sterling commented on the video saying "& I thought I could be vicious."
I REALLY don't want to see this, but of course I know that person who loves Sandler & thinks I would like this, so I'd probably hear MORE comments on how I should've seen it if I don't go. It might be the discount film in a month or so, but I sure as hell ain't paying for the ticket if I'm forced to go.
Hope there's a Half in the Bag for this. They've skipped the last few Sandler movies.
As mentioned, if I don't go, I'm most likely going to hear more comments on how I should see it because it has video game characters I would recognize & it was "funny". I already told the same person THREE TIMES I wasn't interested because it had Adam Sandler. In fact, the conversation went the same way each time:José Mourinho;172669216 said:Could just, like, not go.
