He was good in XMen Days of Future Past as well.

That's probably the most tragic part of this. You have this kinda amazing looking visual effect wasted on a fucking lame-ass Adam Sandler nostalgia-grab.
Something like that yeah. It seems to have a pretty big marketing campaign.

I saw a early screening of this and it isn't bad. I mean it isn't going to win any awards but it's a fun watch. The premise is dumb and the movie is full of plot holes but is a fun turn off your mind kind of movie.
While it does have that trademarked Sandler dumb humor, it isn't as crass/lazy as some of his recent work, especially due to the ensemble cast. For me the low point of the movie was Dinklage. Just didn't work for me.

Exactly. They showed the trailer for this in front of Ant Man and the audience ate it up.
It's pointless even rating these kind of movies. It's just seems like a chance for critics to see who can one up each other with OTT verbiage. And get 'sick burns'
Nah, he's been pretty good in other stuff. I thought he was decent in Days of Future Past. Destiny seemed like an error in direction and writing and this just seemed like an error in its entirety.

Sandler is garbage, but all the ads for this are really good. Uses classic game characters in some funny ways.

I been telling you, this is filling the Transformers slot since there's no Transformers movie to see this summer. Quality doesn't matter. Only novelty. And the novelty of seeing Adam Sandler play Donkey Kong and Tyrion Lannister drive away from Pac-Man is all it's gonna take.

Man, I've seen a bunch of his movie reviews & this is easily the most mad he got at a film. Even Jim Sterling commented on the video saying "& I thought I could be vicious."
I REALLY don't want to see this, but of course I know that person who loves Sandler & thinks I would like this, so I'd probably hear MORE comments on how I should've seen it if I don't go. It might be the discount film in a month or so, but I sure as hell ain't paying for the ticket if I'm forced to go.

I donno. Jack and Jill was super thorough and it's not like any of his movies have deviated from the problems that one had too heavily. Reviewing his newest ones would likely just be repeating that review for the most part.

As mentioned, if I don't go, I'm most likely going to hear more comments on how I should see it because it has video game characters I would recognize & it was "funny". Hahah that's kinda what we were saying while working on this movie.
I saw this yesterday at a crew screening and it is bad but not %0 bad. I honestly enjoyed it in most parts. It has that Chris Colombus movie charm but sadly you can tell Sandler also had creative control and anything he touches turns to shit. He is also looking absolutely bored in all his scenes.
He's one of the most overrated actors going right now. Same as the Arya actress. Some people fail to separate characters and the actor and no, that isn't a good thing.

I actually am shocked. When you look at Adam Sander's resume, you'd think it'd already be beating out Jack and Jill (3%), Grown Ups (10%), Grown Ups 2 (7%), and others. I'd figure Pixels would end up in the 40s on RT but ... nope.
