So since you seem to know better than the developer about what budget he has, i'd like to hear more about your take on the situation.
Cause from where i'm standing, Capcom hasn't made a game without a publisher's backing, or F2P this whole gen so far. Unless its a remaster or low budget split release like RER2.
I don't think anyone is saying SF5 would never have come out, ever. But Sony did save the SF5 that Ono wanted to have made in the end that Capcom refused the budget on initially(that is without the nonsense Capcom seems to be pushing in their self made releases), as well as a much quicker timeframe.
I don't even know why SF comes up in every thread regarding Tomb Raider anyway, as they are obviously two different situations. Ono had to go to SCEA himself to get Capcom to agree to back the project, the deal between MS and SE was purely delaying other platforms for an already in development game with 'publishing rights' and other such nonsense.
Its the same kind of scummy practice as MS and EA going behind Respawn's back to make Titanfall a full exclusive without their knowing.
But i guess that "Sony too" nonsense is still around even 2 years later to make false equivalencies.
