for the next round they need to drastically increase the servers or come up with a queue system, all the apologist will say 'this is the reason for a beta' i hardly doubt they are getting any good info or feedback from this train wreck

I agree with the first part about pre-order bonuses, but the rest is different. They got data from the first day that said their code and not the number of servers was an issue, so they're fixing it. To get through, they're artificially limiting the number of people to be allowed on to see when it breaks, which is a sensible move in any online development. They've also already deployed fixes so some good has come out of it.

Number of servers doesn't have anything to do with it. Much like Halo, Driveclub and Rocket League, throwing more systems wouldn't help. It's a code problem. They've already said that the full 5 days will still go ahead when they stop limiting the players allowed on, so they'll get even more data then.

It's not an apologist position, if this was the full version I'd be annoyed. I'm more annoyed with people who don't know what they're talking about saying "throw more servers at it" than anything the beta has done thus far.
