Street Fighter V Beta Thread: Welcome, future '16ers! (Currently Inactive!)

what are your overall thoughts so far

does it feel like the next step in SF, is it too similar to 4?
Only played with Nash. He seems pretty cool. The game looks gorgeous. I'm thinking over all the netplay is fantastic, and hopefully it stays that way. Since I didn't play with the old guard, I can't say for certain..but yeah, the game feel new/different, for sure.

My dumb ass kept trying focus attacks lol..whoops.

i know its too early but for all the people that have played a good amount of matches so far...does it feel like the next step in SF?

No. I'd say, it's probably the next elevator.

As to the rest of the above, they're probably letting popular streamers in because they're cocks. There's no way my turbo button has failed me this much.

Have had 3 matches but last didn't send results to server. I wonder if that was part of the code issue as well they found. Maybe not.

Edit:and Jesus that is the most damage ryu's hadouken has done in ages.

Anyone else find it sort of bizarre that Capcom is encouraging people to sit around and mash X on the extremely small chance they'll be able to get in?

What I mean is, I know the fans are passionate and want to play the game, but it just seems like a cruel way to build obsession and hype over the game instead of just legit fixing the issue and letting everyone play.

The server probably holds the IP addresses of those connected for a short period of time. Anyone else who got disconnected able to get back in immediately after?

EDIT: LI Joe couldn't get back in, so there goes that theory.

Max, a popular streamer, youtuber and member of the FGC gets in and out quicker than I get 21007'd. Hhhhhhmmmmm......

Got one match in, Lost, and got disconnected. Not even mad. At least I finally got to play it.

Glad I was able to try all of the characters before that happened.

They don't want people losing interest. But again; we don't need to be online to use training mode, so having everyone log in to play the beta is a shit way to test online connectivity.

Not a pro or anything, but I liked what I played of it. V trigger seems a lot cooler than Ultras.
Liking everything about it really.
