Anyone else find it sort of bizarre that Capcom is encouraging people to sit around and mash X on the extremely small chance they'll be able to get in?

What I mean is, I know the fans are passionate and want to play the game, but it just seems like a cruel way to build obsession and hype over the game instead of just legit fixing the issue and letting everyone play.

lights didn't actually lead to much of anything in 3s, maybe a super here and there. Nothing as blatant and stupid as SF4.

yeah it's safe, but they don't give the betacodes to some european countries. Try and see if you get the email.

You should get the betacode within 5 minutes or so, then you can cancel.

Yes you can, I was doing it all night with Ryu. What they took away from the looks of it is the range. With Ryu I could still do cr. LK, st. LP(which hits crouchers) and link into almost any button. But cr. LP doesn't have enough hit stun to link into anything. So you have to be close to your opponent to do light hit confirm links. Even then you could just mash out 3 light chains and special cancel the last one into DP for example. I never did that in a match but it works since I tested it in training mode.
