Yeah sorry, this is bullshit. I've defended most of it because this is how a beta should be used, but whitelisting certain people is a shitty thing to do unless they're working on the server code. Having a Twitch channel isn't helping anything to do with squashing these final bugs or letting people gradually to help with finding where the issues are.

Capcom haven't changed. At least there's some reassurance in that.

There wasn't restrictions on how many people could join at first and it wasn't a lack of servers, the code just shit the bed and now they're seeing how many people it can let on before doing it. It's best this happened now instead of launch and they're extending it, those are all good things.

Tying it to a pre-order and letting people in who can market their games isn't.

1) the absurd amount of times a select few people have gotten into a beta that is basically now known for rejecting 99% of people all day
2) the whatsmyip page being open, because what.

It's something that can never be confirmed unless Capcom says it, but Max getting in almost every time today is strange... Not jumping on the white list train though, might just be a regional thing imo (aka certain regions by major Internet Hubs faster to connect to Capcom's servers)

Whitelist doesn't mean randoms don't have a chance, just those on it have priority. They could be getting redirected to their own dedicated server for instance.
