Street Fighter V Beta Thread: Welcome, future '16ers! (Currently Inactive!)

This was my Chun Li V-Trigger assisted combo if anyone is interested. Did that within the first five minutes of getting into training mode. The game just feels good.

has max even commented on him getting in so easily? at least acknowledge that hes been 'lucky' ive been his stream for the last hour and ether hes totally oblivious to the problems or isnt bringing it up because he does have some 'back door' or on a 'white list' ive asked him like 20 times in chat and he just ignores it... unless he has like 5 PS4s constantly trying to connect something is fishy

Since when privileged people acknowledge said privilege?

Surely, surely Capcom must have known that a beta for SFV, of all games, was going to be rammo, especially with how easy it was to get one in the US. I really, really want to be understanding but here in the UK its Sunday now and I've only got to play the game for 15 minutes, and that was on Friday afternoon.

They should have been far more prepared than this. And the communications has been atrocious.

Hey, at least you got in for fifteen minutes. I've spent five hours in total just trying to get past the menu screen.

He's commented on it before saying he's gotten incredibly lucky. Yesterday when everyone couldn't get in, he was having just as much trouble if not the same amount of hours of attempts at getting in.

I think he's just too busy playing the game to notice your question as well. It's a huge chat.

He'll lose his good ole boy connection if he opens his mouth...LOL

Updates of what's going on every twenty minutes is atrocious?

Cant figure out a good AA for Birdie for tight jump-in pressure. He sort of has one where you have to hold down any punch for a few and let go but can't implement it so far.

Max doesn't comment on drama or bullshit on his stream, for good reason. Haters gonna hate no matter what, it won't make anything better. I don't blame him.

And seriously, people that are mad that he gets in need to step the fuck back and re-evaluate themselves. It's a video game beta.

Lol I don't want Max to get disconnected or anything. Actually I'm glad he's able to play since more people get to watch the game. It'd be nice if they were upfront about it though since it's somewhat obvious. I'm probably having as much fun reading this thread as I'd be having if I were able to play the Beta, so I guess I'm good.

That's all I want too. From my time in the fgc, there's always been this air of "We want new people to play! ...well, up to a point. Don't step out of your stream monster roll and actually get a name for yourself. Unless you're asian."

Example, the hate sent KBR's way last weekend. And to see it happening from the actual company making the game is just...again, not a good look.

I don't dislike Max at all but I prefer to watch streamers who place or are constantly at majors, but maybe thats a bias in itself. Can't wait to beta test PC though.

well, you'd be salty if you had the possibility of getting in and couldn't.

It's ok if you like max's stream. Everyone needs to a feel a part of something, I guess.

I actually don't particularly like max tbh. But the quality of his stream is very good compared to practially everyone else, and he's not shit at the game. So right now it's a decent source of SF5 footage.

And nah, wouldn't really be salty that a free early beta isn't working.

Yeah but most of those guys are dicks and if I watch people like that most of my day at work why sit home in my comfort zone watching a stream full of em?

Updates where? I'm checking the UK twitter page and I see fuck all. I'm checking the Capcom Unity twitter page and I see fuck all. I'm not interested in how many American's are being drip fed into the servers. I'm in Europe, and the communication as to whats going on here as been shocking.

Doesnt like...every character have a tool to deal with projectiles?

As far as I know yes. Nash has that grabby thing and Cammy has spin knuckle. They aren't actually a problem to deal with but just annoying to see. One guy spent both rounds doing it. Like if it didn't work the first time, then just stop doing it.

"I, an anonymous person spamming this stream chat, am owed a full explanation."

I don't understand how can you compare the KBR's hate with this situation, like some of you really need to take a break. I understand the frustration and Capcom needs to do something about this, but don't say silly stuffs.

That's quite a blanket statement that you are making there. You sure this isn't just something that you heard through the grapevine and are blindly believing?

To people asking why we're complaining about falling to get into a stress test -

It's no longer a stress test. Capcom has clearly just gave up and decided to allow select people in for marketing.

We're pissed because this was supposed to be our chance to FINALLY get hands-on of the game we watched for HOURS on E3 streams and various vids.

And now, it's turned into just another glorified marketing campaign. Instead of getting hands on like we were promised, we're suppose to feel privileged that we can watch these big name FGCers play instead.

I love Max, I'm watching his stream right now, and without him, I would never have gotten into fighting games, but I'm still pissed all to hell about this entire situation.

And the worst thing is Capcom is refusing to acknowledge it, acting like the people who can't get in like you or me are in the minority. They're more focused on helping the 1% of fans get more matches than allowing the rest of us the chance to even LOG THE F IN.

BUT HEY THANKS FOR PRE-ORDERING.
