So we just found out how Infiltration learns and practices english. He watches videos of the FGC trash talking each other. What Viscant says to LTG after winning would never not be funny.

Add old spice ads and sensual songs.

There's no way the startup on super is fast enough that people can't change block direction during the animation, right? Sounds goofy though.

I also got whiffs when canceling EX Head Stomp out of EX Psycho Blast every once in a while. Not sure what the deal is. I generally just do 2 bars now even if I have 3 just to see if I can land another LK scissors into EX Blast or Head Stomp with the remaining V-Trigger.

As far as I know Bison doesn't have a reversal outside of V-Trigger except super. Maybe EX scissors or inferno during V-Trigger, but I didn't check during match and we can't set the dummy to do anything which sucks.

Of course more typically right now in an actual match I'm just failing to react to jump-ins in time with c.HP instead of doing anything cool. The part of my brain that has archived all my Bison memory refuses to accept this button being reliable AA.
I can AA okay with him, but only because my brain believes c.HP is a universal antiair in fighters.

I haven't gotten to use the EX cancels in a real match yet but once. Too much data to process and incorporate.

If you j.LK really late with Cammy, it still crosses up. Not sure when stagnant AI turns around on its own.

For me what helped with V-Trigger EX cancels is just getting used to really fishing for LK scissors pressure. Maybe it isn't throw invincible in V-Trigger but it felt like people that were trying to challenge were getting stuffed just doing raw LK scissors into raw LK scissors, and if you ever see LK scissors hit you can just input the EX cancels like Mortal Kombat inputs (which I'm already used to).
 
Arcana is a game I have a lot of respect for, even if it's not my style of game. Very well designed.

Yeah, I just sort of had Arcana Heart 3 Love Max lying around as part of the pile. It was in the Flash sale recently. Decided to play that playing card character Dorothy today after seeing neat stuff at EVO.

Damn was I surprised at how much tech is in the system. Dash cancel combos, homing dash pressure/mixups, crazy as hell Xfactor/Baroque stuff...and damn the card tricks Dorothy has. If she throws out and has 5 cards at once they do stuff depending on what kind of hand she had! Considering the speed of her meter gain and that her Air lvl 1 super throws 3 and her basic air projectile throws 3 I'd put down three in front, 3 behind, they'd shoot up and then I'd go low with a trap card slid under them and go for overheads. Just a fucking MACHINE for mixups. Plus them high low cane twirls were pretty great because if you popped a trap card behind them and pressured them into it they were super screwed.

Man I wish this game wasn't about lolis. :(
Still in shock to find out another type of X-factor existed that both had Baroque style limitations in that it ends when the combo ends and that you could customize the bonus by equipping Arcana. Pretty good shit there.

Also I really hope another title rips off that homing dash + dash cancel system. It is phenomenal. This is how a DBZ fighting game should play honestly.
 
Chun's best air to air may well be j.mp into lightning legs. J.mp floats the opponent and is cancelable. The legs bring them to the ground for a soft knockdown.
 
Thanks for adding, missed that. Idk, Neutral Jump HK just covers so much range, but more options is never a bad thing.

It's certainly a more offensive air to air, but it seems like it was straight up made for air to airing.

Another note during my time, anti air back HK in vtrigger: if you only get a single hit you can connect super by doing cr.mk afterwards.
 
For Chun, you can add that if you get a CC with st.HK you can confirm into super even from max distance. It's pretty easy to do. If you don't have meter and is at max distance, st.HP works.

Chun gets more damage off AA when in V-trigger, though there seems to be a 6 or 8 hit juggle limit with it (depending on the normal used). She can do b.HK and connect a cr.HK for a hard knockdown (I actually didn't check if it was hard, I just assumed so since it was her sweep. I got kicked before I can test).

You can do Back HP 4 times as juggle in vtrigger, seems like the only exception.

Also in the 3 or so matches I had, it was really easy reacting to jumps with v-trigger using it like chain shift in UNIEL and then doing my anti air bizness.

You can also combo off her overheads without a counter hit in V-trigger, which is scary considering how safe she is on block after each of them. I love digging into a new games mechanics.

TBH it's not a very scary overhead though. Best combo I got from OH is stmp into mk SBK, but she can also do st.lp cr.mk into legs from OH.

Overheads! She have an over head other than 3mk?!

Edit: just saw you big post, F+HK is an overhead?! That would make it my favorite button. :)

Speed wise no, its not very fast, more so on how safe it is on block and pressure wise. You'll have to forgive me, I mained Blanka in SF4, so I'm not used to a Overhead that can actually be used consistently lol.
 
Several beers in. Hopefully capcom implements a queue system in future tests. SFV is a lot of fun when it works. Q may have converted me to Cammy..

Rofl. Yeah, I kept trying to time the EX cancels. Then I learned there is no timing. You just mash that shit out as fast as you can, haha.

Yeah, exactly. It makes LK scissors pressure so fucking nasty in V-Trigger because once you're used to it the hit confirm is a joke.
