I bought the keys.....and only used them midnight release lol....other then that they sit basically brand new in the box.

I use it all the time myself. Switch between 5 button keys and pro keys constantly. Some fantastic charts in the base game and DLC. Particularly the Billy joel stuff. His stuff and the Elton John stuff is going to be nowhere near as fun without keys for me sadly.

Yeah, to confirm on the HMX bands thing, at the very least:

* Duck & Cover features Daniel Sussman (Acro-Brats; RB4 Product Manager)
* Eddie Japan features Eric Brosius (Tribe, HMX Audio Director) and someone who I assume is a relative of Greg LoPiccolo.
* Lightning Bolt features Brian Gibson (HMX Lead/Senior Artist - had to Google for that and per LinkedIn he may no longer be there).
* Soul Remnants features Mitch Fletcher (HMX character artist, from the look of it?) on vocals

Also, Slydigs have an album on Spotify if you want to get a feel for their sound.

Licensing is a weird, confusing beast.

It's a really, really good choice for Heart, but it's also a terrible choice by virtue of it not being Crazy on You. Going through the rest now, I like some Fall Out Boy songs, but Centuries does absolutely nothing for me. I'll play it once, get the guitar FC and probably never play it again.

Songs/Bands I'm indifferent to:
Eddie Japan, St Vincent, Soul Remnants, Lightning Bolt, Avenged Sevenfold, Duck & Cover, Jack White, Slydigs, Bruno Mars, Benjamin Booker, Heaven's Basement.

Bands/Songs I dislike:
Paramore, Halestorm, Fallout Boy

26/39 in the "like" category is a great start. They still got the other half of the setlist to announce too!

That's especially true because the two announcements came at a similar time which was really confusing. And of course the whole Rock 'n' Roll Star by Oasis not being available to play on RB3/Blitz but still being available for purchase for the offer games thing I previously mentioned.

Pretty much, its the only thing holding my pre-order in tact really.....I always loved the career mode from Harmonix and the ability to progress without being forced to do something you really don't want to. "See that list right there, if you don't like it.....try the random set that uses all your DLC instead"

Being on the gamescom show floor is prohibitively expensive for a smaller developer like Harmonix. Even with the amazing support of Mad Catz, it's still not a cheap show to exhibit at. Remember, we ARE an independent developer, even though we're working to publish a AAA game at retail. It's tough! We will have behind closed doors spaces to talk to press and show off the game, and we will be at Microsoft's fan event tomorrow (as well as their press only event). We will also be doing some demonstrations on the Microsoft main stage, and by "we," I mean ME. We'll also be doing something I'm REALLY EXCITED about with Twitch (it's not a game announcement), that I'm at at liberty to talk about.

All of that said, it's actually a huge bummer that we're not able to be in a place where the general public can play the game.

I know, right? It's funny, multiple said they didn't care for them and would remove them from the game/not play them. MUSICAL TASTES ARE FUNNY THINGS. I think the over all set list is super strong (including unannounced stuff), but I know we're not going to please everyone (and probably outright disappoint some, because... MUSIC). But I think we're in a good space.

Also, that 4 Non Blonde's song is THE JAM, DON'T HATE. There was some internal strife about including that on the soundtrack, and I'll have you know I brought it up in every meeting until someone caved. SORRY/NOT SORRY.

Soul Remnants - Dead Black Heart Of ICE

4:25 is brutal as fuck.

This sounds sick. The blasts in here aren't at a tempo that makes them impossible, like in some of the heavier tracks that have been released as DLC. It'll most likely go down as the Visions of RB4, but technically there is some really fun-sounding stuff in this track. After seeing Somebody Told Me as a high-level drum chart, I was worried Harmonix was skimping on difficult tracks, but this seems to be a good pick for drummers who want a challenge. Excited.
