I'm pretty sure that people don't want an actual remake of FF7 in the first place. They only want prettier graphics but no changes to the story or the gameplay.

I want everything change
You can't please everyone but most people i know want the battle system change .

Plus XV look to be in good hands.

Surely a release should be upon us. Any who, I am not really excited for this game any more, I only played like maybe an hour of the demo before getting bored and haven't touched since. I still hope the final product is solid because I want this game to turn out really well.

Ehhh, we don't know this.

True, we don't know if wouldn't have either. I will say certain things about the story I did enjoy I just hope we can explore the town shown when it was Versus before the invasion.

Honestly, looking at what Kingdom Hearts has become I'm not convinced of this either.

I don't think Versus would have been as convoluted as KH and Nojima was writing the story as well. I think there would have been a tighter grip on it.

The game will sell millions upon millions of copies. May even be the best selling FF ever. If that doesn't amount to people wanting a remake, then I don't know what would.

I think at the end of the day people will vote with their wallets to show how much they want something.

I will say though, I want Nier 2 more than any game right now!

Nomura may be the best at making trailers in the industry (along with Kojima, of course), but let's not take that as a confirmation that the perfect trailer means a perfect game.

Personally, I think it sucks that Tabata is having to do something that isn't his vision. Nomura is better suited for his own thing and I like that idea better. It's still really foolish to speak in hypotheticals unless you can travel through to an alternate timeline or something.

I agree with this. People fell in love with Nomura's concept and his unique directing style, but that doesn't mean that the game would have lived up to that. I just wish we had gotten to actually see what Nomura wanted to do with the project if he had worked on it until it was done.

VIIR is gonna sell boatloads regardless even if things like the battle system and story pieces are changed. I am not sure why some are so worried when we still have very little to go on.

Yea really agree with this post. Nomura's vision might not have been better than current one, who knows? But it's certainly the one I wanted more than the current one.

Anyways things have already happened, and it cannot be turned back. Let's just hope Tabata delivers a great trailer today (and a great game)

I wonder how long after XV comes out we'll see people stop worrying about the plot points of a game that doesn't and never will exist (Versus, specifically).

Forget what you knew or thought you know about that game, as about the only thing it can do now is possibly make you enjoy the game we *are* getting less.

It certainly makes you wonder what they told Amano about the idea behind the logo.

"Please draw something and we'll come up with a way to put in the game later."

lol

I remember reading so much over analysis and speculation about that logo on GAF and FF-XIII.net! People we're seeing faces where there weren't any, it was amazing.

Why would you guys say this :(
Truth is i trust Nomura with VII more than anyone else .
He can always make another FF game or IP but they only going to be one VII remake .

Don't think i going to wait up for this trailer .

I agree. People will NEVER know what the "original XV" was supposed to be like. They may have some idea but given that it's not happening? People need to move the hell on. It's annoying.

It depends on how XV turns out. If XV's story turns out shit, people will talk about hypothetical versus plot forever.

I think most people who have been following FFvsXIII since 2006 would agree with you. Nomura's original vision, based on trailers, interviews, etc, sounded incredible. For as much as I wanted it, and still do, I've come to accept that FFXV is taking some of those concepts like being a "Fantasy based on reality" and " Action-based combat that goes against (versus) conventions of traditional Final Fantasy combat" and creating something different. It's not going to be 100% what Nomura envisioned, who is to say how much of it will be his vision based on how it's been handled so far. All that matters is we are finally getting a new mainline Final Fantasy, I hope it manages to blow our socks off the way many of the previous games have.

I'm glad the E3 conferences are usually on Mondays. So I can literally just chill at home and watch them. I then usually take the next couple of days off to let everything soak in.

Yea I'll be waking up and this trailer will already be out and I'll be at work during the ATR. I'll also be at work when they drop the MGSV trailer and new gameplay lol.

Same here. Are you going to be taking time off for MGSV?

basically. people clamoring for a vision of a game that apparently wasn't fit for release, wishing to see it despite multiple year long silences? no thanks

I think it will sell more copies due to the battle system being action oriented

I am very curious to see how the battle system is tackled while keeping the materia system in tact. I can't see some of them making it into the remake if it's more real time.

Back on topic to XV I do think Tabata deserves a fair shake certain things were removed but things are looking good so far.
I am really excited to see the new trailer and what else we can get from the game.

I need footage of black haired girl and more footage of the other locations which seems very likely.

So hoping that XV's story and writing isn't shit. But given Square's recent track record in XIII series and Type-0, the prospect aren't good sadly. And considering this was/is a FNC title after all, and share a common developers with its sister titles, yeah. Not to mention a writer by Dissidia 012?

At this point I'm just hoping that the battle system is good, has some good spectacles, some decent towns, dungeon and overworld exploration, good music and visual treats. Everything else is bonus.

The writer didn't actually write Dissidia

Nomura's trailers focused more on the Shakespeare influence, while Tabata's trailers focus more on the road trip and brotherhood themes. I believe that if "Dawn" can be more "serious" or "dramatic", it might calm some folks down.

The idea of titling a trailer has be really excited. I dunno. I guess it's the artistic touch of naming something.

Episode Duscae 3.0

The teaser made me excited, I feel like the earlier trailer was a little "rushed", not even 3 minutes long. Hope they take their time for this one

Her concept art is so good. Skinkawa is amazing. :)

He is! I'm so sad that he won't be creating anymore MGS characters though. Really sucks on how Konami is handling this situation. Hopefully, they'll release an artbook for NA soon since JP will be getting one with the game :/ .

Listening to FFXV music now to get hyped. Later tonight I will re watch old trailers and ATRs to pass time/refresh my memory/further hype.

Let's do this! To hell with the negativity, I'm excited to see what they show us.

It will be the new series for SE. Released 3 times a year. We can look forward to Episode Duscae 15.0 in a couple years!!

But I am hype for real thoug

The fact I can actually see this happening lol an added patch.

-Dawn trailer played
-In depth description of the trailer
-more detail about the story
-info about other gameplay systems
-small gameplay clip (magic!)
-new area/town shown

This is more realistic than my expectations which isn't even asking for that much lol.
I see this being more likely than a release window and tons of footage.

The trailer is probably all we're getting as far as progress footage is concerned.

If my expectations are close to what we'll get i'll be more than satisfied.

Exactly what i am doing now before going to sleep, so i'll wake up to this sweet new trailer.

I'd hope for more than just a single new town or area but I guess they plan to space things out too. I'm just... happy that it looks like we could still be going to Insomnia and hopefully still being able to explore it. To me, that's the biggest thing for me right now. Insomnia and Lestallum look amazing. Heck, even Accordo as well.

Looking forward to the trailer.

Anything that's not Duscae. If we want to see Duscae we can play the demo or watch older videos. Even if there's new stuff in Duscae, let us find it when the full game releases.

Agreed. It's time to show more areas and begin building up toward release info.
