Want context? Play the game when it comes out. That's what it's there for.
Hypothetically speaking, I'd be bankrupt if I operated by this logic.

Earn my money/purchase first.
Maybe Tabata is trolling? Ha ha. I mean why change from the usual "In development" tag at the end to "pre order now"
I cant think of any other game to telling people to pre order without a date. I also read yesterday games can't be nominated for awards at gamescom if they're due for release after the next gamescom, so doesn't that basically confirm it's coming before August 2016?
I'm just laughing at anyone who expected Spring 2016.
Kid sleeping on man's shoulder Simulator
It will be shown to the ATR. They just showed it to us behind closed doors.
so how long until the ATR? haven't been following
By spoon feeding you every story detail through trailers?

Around an hour I think.

Why are people pretending like we have to get every single story detail to feel some emotion for this trailer? We don't.By spoon feeding you every story detail through trailers?

This is just a stupid defense.
Trailers are supposed to sell you on a game or get you excited. You don't need to spoon feed every detail to someone, but you probably should justify why you're spending like 2 minutes with a hugging scene. You need some of that connection to resonate with people, or else why the fuck are you even doing it?
Ah, thank you!
Also (not to pester) but a few pages back someone mentioned that Tabata said the DAWN thing was a teaser...I understood it as even the trailer was a teaser...if that makes sense. Did I understand it right, and should expect a bit more in ATR, or am I sol?
It's clearly a big story moment, they'd probably ruin it if they explained why. Is that not obvious?

I wasn't there personally so I don't really know.
So don't fucking use it for a trailer meant to get people excited for a game if you can't properly connect them to the moment?
Garbage Junior.
sup with the influx of bad posters recently.
Man, the cast is still the one thing turning me off about this game.
Plot twist: The entire ATR is this, we see a pic of child Nocto sleeping with his dad with the battle theme playing for an hour or two.

I remember the epicness of the 2013 reveal, when Nomura was in charge.
Now this.

What if, instead of holding on that crying scene for so long or showing the completely useless scenes they cut the trailer with scenes of oh idk, him interacting with young Noctis. It would've made so much more sense.SOMETHING, ANYTHING WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE.
Extremes on either end are bad, they have to find a nice happy medium. No context is as bad as too much context.
Just lol at people who think others are disappointed in this trailer because it doesn't have guns and explosions.
Agreed. I dont see why this is causing so much controversy... Like at all.I'm a little confused by folks who derisively refer to Regis' holding Noctic as an "awkward hugging scene."
Yes, if there were a two-minute scene of an awake young boy and his father sharing a tender hug, with nothing else going on, it might seem sort of weird/uncomfortable.
But this is, clearly, a father holding his sleeping son on his shoulder (as any parent has done w/ their own little one many times). They're not "hugging," which suggests bi-directional affectionate intent.
Long hugs are awkward, but holding a sleeping kid on your shoulder is NOT awkward. It's just part of being a parent.
Which is obviously what this trailer is supposed to focus on: Regis, as he's holding sleeping Noctis, and the parental-type feelings he's dealing w/ as he considers his son's likely grim fate.
Totally OK not to like that focus, or to not feel it's well executed (although I'd disagree), but anyone who dismisses it as an overlong weird hug is either: trolling, submitting to hyperbole, or some kind of digital-age cyborg shorn of traditional human sensitivities.
Apparently this was a "story teaser trailer" and we'll see more of the story...
......within the next couple of months
I'm so done![]()
The translator was talking WAAAAY too fast, what was he saying about the release date?
