OMG just found out about this.

Hopefully it's REALLY Mitsuda working on this album, unlike Myth: The Xenogears Orchestral Album which was a fucking scam (Mitsuda only did 2 tracks out of 14 on that album).

The involvement of Millennial Fair gives me good hope, however.

Hmm, so does the involvement of Millennial Fair mean this album will be Celtic folk-rock fusion like Creid?

I went back and listened to Brink of Time a couple months ago, and that acid jazz style hasn't really held up so well since the 90s.

Probably. Mitsuda is currently doing a series of concerts in Japan with Millennial Fair, and judging from their instrument list they surely still have a Celtic style. The lineup of the concerts and the lineup of the album might be slightly different though (we know Laura Shigihara has joined for the album for example).

By the way here they are playing Balto in a pub in 2012:

this is awesome! I would've DIED witnessing this IRL

Apparently Sarah Alainn (who did the ending theme for Xenoblade) will also sing on a few tracks. Her + Mitsuda + Supershigi + Millennial Fair + Chrono + Creid-style = potentially best album ever?

Oh my god, the first track is a jazz lounge arrangement of Hometown Domina.

Take all of my money. I don't care. Just... just take it. Slide the disc under the door, I can't be seen like this.

If anyone is not digging the samples or just doesn't want to wait, I would recommend checking out these:

The quality and composition is absolutely amazing. I just bought them last week. I'm not into video game compositions with vocals so I'll be sticking with these I believe.

SE store exclusive? If that's the case I'll have to pass. Digital River's shipping charges to Canada are outrageous.

Wow you are not kidding.

Might have to import from Japan if they're the same product. Ridiculous that that would be cheaper but it probably is by quite a bit.

The CT samples are a big disappointment but I was already setting myself up for that when I heard they were going the vocals route. In contrast, the LoM album sounds like it'll be a blast and I can't wait for that one.

Marbule sounds great and is what I expected from the album. The vocal tracks are pretty iffy, and it's disappointing that once again Mitsuda isn't even doing most of the arrangements himself. :/

I really liked the samples, though I wasn't terribly happy with the lyrics in the Laura Shigihara rendition of Corridors of Time.

Otherwise I am all on board for this.

Marbule sounds like a dream come true. I always whistled that Home World tune on the way home.

Seeing Laura Shigihara on the credits makes me want to play Finding Paradise finally. I was introduced to her when I played To the Moon.
