Ugh... Need to finish the witcher 3 before this comes out.
Tell me about it. I still have Witcher 3 and Batman unfinished; no chance Witcher 3 will be done in time (already 50 hours in and only just started Act 2!) as I don't want to rush it, but will finish Batman before this comes out. Want to go back and replay Ground Zeroes too!

One of those wants will take infinitely less time than the other 2.
 
Surely it needs to be BruceLeeRoy after his GOAT MGS4 OT?? That OT transcended the OT format onto some higher plane to such a degree that literally every time I see his avatar I instantly think about MGS4, Literally.

Oh my god yes it would be so perfect. Kojima and Metal Gear Fans deserve an epic OT. Only few OT Gods are up to this work. It needs to be BIG!

I just realized everyone glossed over the weather manipulation device and focused on the wormhole. Not that either bother me at all.
 
Does the sound when riding the horse bother anyone else?

It's just so repetitive to me, "Hey-yea hey-yeah" over and over and over and the hoof sounds sound like a 2 second loop, like there's no variety of difference in the sounds when moving over the sand. No clicking/kissing sounds or other common horse calling to change gaits or variations (at least from that video) it seems.

Reminds me of older games that had limited sound budgets or space reserved for sound files and couldn't have a ton of variations.

Hopefully you can use the tape player to play over it while riding a horse.
 
I don't understand this chart. Doesn't this mean that 360's final output is also 1080p? I mean XB1 and 360 and both scaling the game up through output to 1080p...only PS3 doesn't.

There is nothing to understand really, they are trying to show the Xbox One's resolution in a better light.
 
If Digital Foundry is anything to go by (I know, I know) then Ground Zeroes wasn't native 720p on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, which would be 1280x720. Instead they ran internally at 992x720, the system then scaling the resolution up to a 1280x720 output.

PlayStation 4 runs native at 1920x1080. Xbox One runs native at 1600×900 scaled up to 1080p.
 
Has anyone else noticed just how different Ocelot sounds compared to E3 2013?

"Now go...let the legend come back to liiifeee!" That kind of trailing gruff delivery of the old voice actor was adopted by Baker in a muted sort of way.

Now he's kinda southern US sounding. I wonder if they made a conscious choice to break away from the old Ocelot sound at some point and ended up re-recording.
Yeah at first I thought the cowboy/Joel ocelot voice was cool but now I think its pretty stupid especially compared to OG Troy Ocelot. I hope they didn't re-record the "let the legend come back to life" speech.

Figured this is a good place to ask; does anyone know if the stuff in the day one edition can be unlocked in the game? Like the adam ska gun and the different outfits? Thanks to anyone who can answer for me!

Oh yes its really bothering me. I hope they tone that down a little bit.

Isn't Act 1 the majority of the game? 50 hours in to get to Act 2 is relatively fast honestly (many of us are 60+ hours in with plenty of stuff still left in Act 1), seems you can finish it quite easily before September at that pace.

Like...who is Ishmael. We haven't seen him in years.
 
I'm sorry to be that guy but, the chopper carrying Ocelot is making some really questionable flying choices. Whoever the pilot is, you can have him GAF. Fulton away.

I think it'll be resolved in the tutorial section of the game. Ishmael is Snake. It's most likely him piecing himself and his memory back together as we learn to play. He'll dematerialize when Boss is fully lucid etc.

If only because I believe it was shown you have to spend MB coins in order to buy an FOB in different locations? Is there going to be a way to earn that in game?

it says "No additional purchases need to be made to complete or build anything in the game" so lets hope that means we can earn it

What about that theory that Ishmael was the doctor on the helicopter in GZ? Same (Kiefer's) voice, and gets most of the explosion (burning his face) to save Snake, at the end of GZ.

The real problem is this line, right?
however you can use MB coins to speed up development as well as within the FOB system.
You'll want to spend coins to speed up your developments.

Yeah I feel like I'll play the game normally until I hit the point where the economy starts to annoy me and then I'll just cheat engine myself 10 million GMP

I agree with you actually, but it's weird that they gave that doctor Kiefer's voice and never showed his face.
I'm not into these MGS conspiracies tbh, but that *is* a weird thing they did in GZ, since they go out of their way to cover his face, for no apparent reason, and deliberately gave him an important voice actor, when they could've asked anyone else doing "additional voices" to say his lines.

Yeah and I don't think they changed up the voices in the cutscenes from what we've seen so far.
I wondered if it's to do with making the voices sound more identifiable over radio because him and Miller can sound pretty similar at times.

I think people during the preview event played the game for 40 hours over the course of 3 days. I think it's very likely that TPP, even if you played only through the main story missions and ignored side ops and Mother Base, is longer than 8 Ground Zeroes missions. A lot longer.
