Just gonna throw this out there now. This is not for the general election. My endorsement for the Democratic nomination goes to Vermont senator Bernie Sanders, read a post on the Facebook page Deez Nuts for President 2016.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Olson wrote that he didnt want to see Clinton, Bush, or Trump in the White House, so I guess Im just trying to put up a fight.

No, Deez nuts is some 15 year old that thought it would be funny to register an independent candidate for president called "deez nuts."

PPP polling is known for picking up on things like this and inserting joke options into their polls. Predictably, about 10% of people polled think it's funny to throw their support behind a candidate named "Deez Nuts", and because PPP is a known pollster with a successful track record their polls get national coverage.

The mainstream media gets wind of it, and local news reporters get a giggle out of being able to say "Deez nuts" on the local newscasts. The video of said local newscasters having fun with "deez nuts" hits facebook/buzzfeed/etc and goes viral.

So did that video of the guy on the phone make "deez nuts" popular again? I remember when I was a teenager in the 90s and deez nuts being a popular phrase. Then it seemed to go away until a few years back I heard some kids using it.

I think its one of those things that never quite went away. I remember when this one went viral a year or two ago.

The most shocking thing is folks just now hearing Deez Nutz, I remember doing that shit in school. Well before I had to stop going to school and start help sharecropping.
