Forza 6 is everything Forza 5 is, just way better.

Why would anyone play Forza 5 now.

Tomb Raider would make much more sense as it´s a whole seperate storyline which makes sense to play before the seqel.

I could be wrong but I think it was GWG that actually started that.

So Many Me, Massive Chalice, Pool Nation FX, #IDARB, Volgarr the viking, Chariot, Guacamelee have all been GWG on release. Guacamelee was the first on the second month of GWG on the XB1 (Last July)

I would welcome that. I like that game, and I imagine that the paltry crowd playing the game on console will be bigger than PC.

I haven't even played TR on 360 yet, so now I wonder if I should even use my already-limited time to play it on 360 when I can play the DE version whenever I buy an XB1.

Don't know anything about Deer God or Battlestations, but Crysis 3 looks like it may be a great pick for a free game.

Tomb Raider DE just weeks after I beat it on PC! Oh man :/. Oh well if it opens something up for Rise I'll definitely play it again.

Forza 5 free on gold would cannibalise the sales for Forza 6, not encourage them.

It's not like Forza 5 ends of a cliffhanger and you have to buy Forza 6 to find out what happens next

I just finished Tomb Raider for my first time this past weekend. Great game once you get past the absurdity of it all

Also, it's astoundingly beautiful. If this is what a 3rd-party contractor can do with a port of a last-gen game, i can't fricken wait to see what Crystal Dynamics can do with more time in Rise of the Tomb Raider

I've already played TRE. I thought it was great and I'm really glad more people will get a chance to experience it now.

I'm pretty psyched for The Deer God. Looks like my kind of game after a couple of months with not much for me.

There's honestly only a handful of 360 games I haven't played that I'm interested in and none have shown up yet and probably won't.

October is Halloween. I'm going to guess Alan Wake and Dead Rising 3, both are bound to go GWG at one point and what better time than Halloween considering the theme of the game?

It's a solid month, but I'm not all that excited because I've played 2/3 of the games that interest me and beat them both thoroughly. I've finished Tomb Raider twice, in fact, but once on last-gen.

I'm interested in Deer God, though I don't know when I'll find the time to play it. How long is it?

Battlestations Midway couldn't be less appealing, though.

It's a great game so in that sense it's worth it, but otherwise it's just graphics so that's up to you. it DOES look significantly better. You get the DLC costumes free too if her default outfit isn't to your liking.

I haven't, and didn't intend to before it was announced for GwG.
I think games with gold aren't aimed at people who already know they like those games and IPs, since they will probably already own the game. It's rather trying to expand the audience, by letting other types of players try the game, and maybe some of them will like it enough to buy the next installments.

Yeah the people that are already big fans aren't the target audience for TRDE being GWG, it's to increase sales potential for the sequel. Assumed that was obvious, if you already own the game - fantastic, they expect you already want rise. If you don't, give it a shot - was one of the best games of the last few years imo. Definitive is certainly superior to the last gen version too, and depending on your taste even the PC version (I already owned it on PC and had played with physx hair but this still ran slightly more consistently and I actually liked Lara's new face once I got used to it).

The market for sidescrollers is just so oversaturated right now and their overrepresentation in gwg is almost completely turning me off from them.

The problem might be, that 2D sidescrollers (in 8-bit graphics) are just cheap to make.

But generally I am fine with one AAA game and one indie.

Yep. Also a main reason why horde modes are/were so popular to put in games. Just recycle some map from sp or mp. Create enemy spawns. Loop enemy spawns in waves. Done.

Nope. You can only have one home xbox and you can't change how often you want (it's a few times per year iirc).
