I doubt they'd announce major dlc in the middle of the busiest gaming sales month. Even if dlc is released in november it'll be announced between now and mid october for a november release.

Though who knows if the upcoming DLC will be of my interest...Me too. Still hoping for the return of Frigate Orpheon and a few other stages.

I just want that and Pirate Ship to return as DLC. Anything else is just gravy.

Pirate Ship was great, but it would be the first stage DLC to be exclusive to the Wii U version, because there's no swimming mechanics on 3DS...
Stage parity means the 3DS should receive the Wii U levels as DLC as well, which is unlikely to happen because of stages like The Great Cave Offensive and Palutena's Temple.

Completely agree. It's dumb the 3DS stages aren't on Wii U (and vice versa except where they are technically not doable). They need to start releasing them as DLC.

Nintendo's been promoting Smash character DLC hardcore on Twitter and Facebook. Not even the recent stage stuff but rather "New characters available" in the form of Ryu and friends. New new characters approaching?

I dont see anything smash related being promoted on my side, closest thing would be asking people to review the 3DS version for a chance for it to get featured and amiibo restocking.

It says Newcomer approaching, or something like that. Shows Ryu Roy and Lucas, as well as some Mii costumes. Tells you to expand your game by buying dlc. I've been seeing it for a few days.
Honestly I would be happy if we just got Corneria on Wii U. I hate it so much that it's trapped in the 3DS version of Smash 4.

I kinda wish one of the ledges and the moving platform are grabbable though. Then again if it does return I hope they "fix" it like how they fixed Peach's Castle.

That would be fine by me.
The Wii U stages I would want on the 3DS are Duck Hunt, Gamer, Kalos Pokémon League, Smashville, Town & City and maybe Windy Hill. The 3DS stages I would want on the Wii U are Spirit Train, Magicant, Arena Ferox, Paper Mario, Unova Pokémon League and Pac-Maze. And of course, more retro and new stages for both versions

They're pushing DLC really hard in more than just Twitter posts. People on Reddit are also saying the frequency they get Wii U ads for the DLC (on the Game Pad, not in-game) has increased as well.
I also had a weird "shower thought" this morning. What if MGSV and Ground Zeroes, as a pack, are a launch (or launch window) title for the NX? That would make Snake a bit more likely and it would make him being released monday a little bit more reasonable (but still unlikely).

Yeah, I can vouch for those adds too, and I've barely been playing Wii U since I just bought a GameCube.
Nintendo's really shoveling on the ads.
Well it's not like Nintendo has tried to advertise on social media much before now. They probably realized it was cheaper to do so than TV.
