Lol I'm fucking awful at the game.
Keep trying to take my time and be stealthy and fucking everything up because of that one guy I didn't mark. Then going commando on everything.

I have a few theories about the supposed twist (I don't know for sure there is one, just an assumption) but will save them for later.
I hope I'm wrong either way.

Game is indeed fun and very well designed in terms of mechanics

Early on full teams are better than nothing.

It's not like there are that many soldiers early on with decent stats anyway. Almost everyone has E or D level skills, so I'm just hauling most of them to MB.
I guess their stats wont improve over time?

Game is phenomenal so far, its so sprawling. Best gameplay of any mgs thus far. I thought I could finish this in a day, but im barely even started according to my completion percentage.

Return to mother base
See dudes saluting me
See the prompt for CQC, think it's salute
Punch guy in the stomach
He says "Thank you Boss"
Staff morale increased

Best game

Get on that belly more. Half of the time when infiltrating a larger base I just go in blind. As long as you stay low and use whatever you can to hide it's almost hard to be seen. They can get within about 20 meters before they see you when crawling and will often walk right by if you hold triangle to hug the ground.

I keep taking photos with the share button with this game, at times it's beautiful

Don't think so, haven't really checked.

Are the chances of fulton recovering failing kind of bullshit for everyone else? I'm in episode three playing with the fulton for the first time and so far I've failed 3 out of 7 fultons, even though they all said 90% chance of success.

Guys is there a glitch? I finished mission 6 and still haven't found D Dog yet.
I dunno I heard in the impressions thread it might be somewhat random? I found him literally right behind my landing zone in episode 3

Am I missing something here or has anyone else not been able to ready/fire their weapon using kb/m? Game seems to flit at random between having to hold left or right MB to move the camera and free look. It appears this is causing a conflict where mouse buttons no longer work for ready/fire.

Already had the game crash twice and numerous server disconnects so having a fun introduction to this game.

Edit: a restart + windows update seems to have sorted it. Weird.

Statistics, how do them work?

I'm kind of missing Zimmerman as Ocelot. Troy Baker does a pretty good job, but he's not the same.

I can hear Zimmerman roaring out "LET THE LEGEND COME BACK TO LIFE!" in my head and it's glorious.

When you say do not click if you haven't completed the game, do you mean after beating Skullface or actually complete the game?

Actually completed, as in
seen all the story that there is to see
.

Given what you've seen I don't think it would be a spoiler for you. It's
a scene that was removed from the game, and shown in the Collector's Edition Making-Of
.

But don't take the risk if you're not sure.

Really loving the game so far, just finished The
Honey Bee
mission, so I am still super early in the game. Also apparently I really suck lol, best grade I've gotten besides the prologue S is a couple of B's.

Zimmerman is the best Ocelot. He is fucking perfect.

GET OUT OF MY MIND, LIQUID!!

I'm sorry guys, I hated Peace Walker, and MGSV seems to be more of the same shit.

I loved MGS1/2/3 (and enjoyed parts of 4 for what it was), but it seems I can't stand the gameplay, open world "level design" (if you can call big empty spaces that) and motherbase metagame of MGSV.
Mandatory filler missions are making me mad. We had a super cool introduction with new characters and all, and yet right after that the story completely stops and go back to grind our off-shore plant to death.

This is not how I want my console Metal Gear Solid to be. To me the story must be the main draw, and the introduction of a lot of cool boss characters in a rapid succession. Not that slow grind that looks suspiciously like I'm playing Far Cry 3/4 (2 games I also can't enjoy).

I think I should go ask for a refund.

Regarding GZ unlocks.

Do you have to 100% GZ to unlock content?

I completed the 1st GZ mission but only saved 4 of the 5 soldiers (I'm assuming I won't get anything for this). But if I start PP with a save uploaded and then go back later to finish up more of GZ (Deja Vu mission, nab that 5th POW) would I be able to unlock the rest of the goodies?

I'm guess I'm wondering if i re-upload a GZ later on with more stuff completed, will it unlock more content. Might be too early to know, but wanted to ask.
