Any tips for mission 16 would be nice, because I feel like I'm going about it wrong.

Im blocking a part of the road with a truck waiting for them to drive by. After the skull things pop out of the truck I quickly extract every vehicle except mine and desperately try to drive away. After they destroy my truck I just get out making a break for the out of hotzone area on foot, while hitting them with w/e I have (this includes rockets). I almost made it the last time, but they got me near the end.

The second the skulls intro cutscene ended I went into a crawling position which kept me unnoticed. Then I slowly crawled around the back of the truck, throwing out decoys to distract the skulls and get them away from the truck. As soon as the truck fultoned they noticed me, and I sprinted to the airport, climbed on a shipping container, fultoned it and rode it into the sky.

What do I need to upgrade the Fulton to do tanks and jeeps? I only have the one for people and emplacements.
Transport specialist. You can get him in mission 10, one of the prisoners in the mansion at the start.

Well it's no Kojima trick but I figured out an easy way to do Extreme
Metal Archea - D-Walker with the upgraded Gatling gun and ammo capacity. 1500 rounds were enough, and it was fun as hell to boot with the gliding all over the place lol
You can always call supply drops. It instantly replenishes Gatling gun ammo.

Wow! I think I done messed up. Purchased the PC digital version (Steam) off of Amazon but my awesome internet access in the barracks (GoWifi) is so damn slow that I might complete the download by next weekend.

LOL

How many big areas (e.g. Afghanistan) are in the game? And is there a snowy area? Enclose it in spoiler tags if you like.

I was wondering the same thing. I dont want story spoilers or location spoilers, I'm just hoping for a number. Want to know if there is more than 2 or not.

Oh, the one that was announced had died literally 5 minutes into the mission as the jeep drove off. Guess I'm doing that again lol

welp i can see why poeple hated mission 16

goddamn...

id say the number one thing that sucks in this game is getting from place to place snake ahould be the fastest runner in the game and those damn box transports should be at every base little or big and should be unlocked from the start....

-_-

also man these checkpoints are terribad....

Where are all the throwback skins?

I want to use the different boss skins from the launch trailer as well as the blue headband from the FOB demo video.

I think you can just highlight it, it'll show you the requirements for it.

Nope doesn't show up.

But one thing is for sure, i was far away from having her bond maxed so not sure how i got it, i used her maybe 3 or 4 times now.

Edit: Ah you get it after her
interrogation cutscene or mission 40

Regarding someone I just found in the medical sector
HOW LONG HAS SHE BEEN THERE!?

Basically about to finish the game and I just come across this now?

Godjesus finally. I'm Big Boss irl.

Two tips that helped me with the annoyingly hard R&D platform target practice:

1. The 'route' basically wants to encourage you to use alternative methods of traversing Mother Base, and it is mostly based on going around the outside. Climb pipes and walk along ducts, and keep an eye out. NV helps sometimes.

2. After you fail, and you probably will, you can still see transparent placeholders for all of the targets you missed. What I did was I placed a marker down at their locations, so that if I missed them on my next run I had a hint. It was actually the reason I succeeded.

also guys if you die in a mission is every guard i falton gone or not??

Yep, you will restart at the latest checkpoint and have to do everything again.

Holy shit, so that's it? I was wondering what use there was for it. A silent way to
deactivate electronics
would be pretty convenient, but doubtfully worth a weapon slot.

Well if you have that specific mission where you have to destroy that stuff it's pretty useful since you don't have to blow up shit and alert the whole base.

Since the first Mother Base Soldier side op. I've started going back to show her the photos, but christ, I wish I could just keep showing them rather than have her head hurt

Is there any point to doing them?

I don't know if my game is glitched or anything (Mission 26-29-ish spoilers)

After every mission Ocelot still has me go through the quarantine tutorial every time I return to the chopper and I have to go through the whole tedious process of handpicking every single member with the specific language to quarantine them again. I can't actually avoid the tutorial and select other missions unless I exit the iDroid entirely and re-enter it. Also after every mission, it tells me that I have a new command for Quiet, that I got the tape for Quiet's Humming (despite not seeing it anywhere in my cassettes) and the tapes for Paz, as well as Kaz, Big Boss and Ocelot discussing the infection, don't stop having the "new" marker on it. It's getting incredibly frustrating.

You get a pretty little check mark next to them on the mission menu.

But I did notice that almost my entire brig was released as soon as I finished it and I got a 'morale boost' notification. So it must affect that stuff somehow.

Ahhh, thanks man. Can you tell em what mission is that?

There are 3 of those missions altogether. And they literally go "Rescue the ... again" and "... yet again". Bit of a joke.

I know, I did them all. But I can't find the option anywhere.

is it just me or DD is the best buddy in the game. i haven't even used d walker. quiet has a mind of her own and does not always respond. DD locates every target, prisoner etc, so easy. also is there a place where i can meet miller or
huey
or any characters in the motherbase?

last question how do we change the logo in my emblem. this game is so much fun with infinite health :D PC trainers

The requirements for the
true ending
are insane, I'll give that a miss.

Anyway just completed the game in 38 hours, that includes about a quarter of the side ops being done.

My issues with the game personally:
- Too many main missions felt like side ops ones
- Story for a MGS game was sparse and not very good
- Mother Base felt so lifeless
- Stupid names intro and credits to every mission

Overall a 9/10 to me, best stealth game made but no where near the best MGS game at the same time.

I don't think i did a specific mission for it, IIRC after a random side op Miller asked me to get back to base and then it started.

Just keep doing missions and don't forget YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO the extreme missions, just do more side op's stuff and then it will unlock more story missions.

I thought
grinding side ops and doing every non-subsistence or extreme mission you come across just pretty much leads you to the true ending
? I have to do something else, too?

How can I change Quiet's equipment while in the field? There's a buddy equipment change menu that doesn't seem to do anything except tell me what they already have equipped

A few questions:

1. Say I am at full capacity at Motherbase and I fulton up someone with better stats, will it automatically replace people with worse stats?

2. What's the best way to make GMP?

3. Can someone explain why on earth anyone thinks it's a good idea that
Quiet
goes on missions with me? I saw the cutscene... But it makes no fucking sense.

From this article I read it seems you have to do every other mission? Maybe it's wrong then.

Finally got clothes for Quiet. I'm a happy man.
How does one do this?
Her clothes in the prologue made her look really cool

Mission number 9 suuuuuucked. The lowest ranking missions I've done.

That one was tough for me as well. I only managed to destroy 5 of the 11 vehicles, amd then I went on a wild goose chase looking for the prisoners but never found them even after interrogating soldiers. The whole mission took me almost an hour so I got no points for time and only got a B overall

What's this about developing
nukes
after mission 31? I see no option for it?

Is this a mission that'll only show up if you don't transfer him from GZ?

No it's still there you just can't get him again.

?

It's not been too bad I think, not much extra grinding really. I've inly had to do some side ops lately and I've only got a couple missions left.
