Also another question (regarding Missions in general)

When does Chapter 2 start? Or have I just missed it? I've done over 20 missions now but have never gotten prompted that I've started something new. Is the game really THAT long?

You need to take out the little satellite dishes with the blue light AND take out any "radio equipment" they have somewhere in a radio room.

If you do that, that base will not alert HQ and will never enter an alarm state if you raise one at a different base.

Ah, I thought taking out the comms equipment negated the need to destroy the satellite dishes. The C2W mission kinda implied that.

Man, that
Legendary Brown Bear
Side Op sucks.

That one was tough for me as well. I only managed to destroy 5 of the 11 vehicles, amd then I went on a wild goose chase looking for the prisoners but never found them even after interrogating soldiers. The whole mission took me almost an hour so I got no points for time and only got a B overall

Yeah, I think next time I'm going to do it with D-Horse and just look for prisoners. Do you automatically fail if you don't hit any targets?

Anyone have any issues with the Ground Zeroes save data transfer? I can't get it to work, I uploaded my save in GZ. But when I try the download save option in TPP it just says. "no save data found canceling download."

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

What stuff needs to be done to unlock Quiet as a buddy?

I already
beat her and brought her to motherbase. Then she tried to go with me but Kaz stopped it.

Now what? Which missions or requirements do I need to beat?

Are you supposed to fulton the shipping containers from the Base Development strut?

Cuz I did and think I just lost a bunch of GMP for no reason.

You will see a Side Op with her name in it. Just be on the lookout every now and again. It will have a yellow dot to indicate it is important. Takes a few missions to show up.

The official guide says that it takes 3 missions for enemies to be resupplied after destroying their equipment with combat deployment (e.g. helmets, shields, etc). Does this include side ops?

Also, is there any efficient way to lower enemy preparedness? Did a few missions guns blazing and avoiding headshots, but they still have a high response to covert infiltrations and headshots..

You've gotta get one. Here's how I did all the prisoners.

Used D-Dog and a jeep. Started at the supply outpost as my drop zone. snuck in there and fultoned the first tank target from within. Moved south, first prisoner is near the river on the way to the palace. Go south and east a little bit. East of the palace over the dunes is another. Another one is in the palace.

Then head north towards outpost 12 and by now the prisoner in the jeep should begin moving towards you. Once he's done, go east towards the barracks through the cavern and another one is there before getting the last one in the barracks.

EDIT: Just realised you can probably get the stationary prisoners after time expires instead of rushing like a loon like I was. Fuck.

What missions have you done then exactly and how many side ops ones? Seems a few sites are saying you have to do every other mission so I guess they're all wrong.

I have every main ops complete except 42, 44 and 48-50.
45 is still locked, but I haven't done 46 or side ops 150 yet.

I've also done 56 side ops.

Nightvision goggles, they are just the ones you start so far as I can tell.
I mean these-

I'm almost done with the game and I've yet to see them.

On this save, I've done none of the repeat missions at all. Just done side ops in between cutscenes. No idea how many because I did a shitton before then anyway as I've done over 100 in total now.

Not bad at all, I'll probably try completing more side ops then and see what happens. Thanks guys.

Who is the artist that did the song "Take the D.W." ? I wanted to look up the artist, I remember it being a Japanese name, but I can't seem to find the name online at all when I search for the song title.

I fucked up mission 19th, on the trail,
by killing the guy we were sent to kill, instead of fultoning him. In my defense, a huge firefight started just after I had cleared half his retinue, and I hadn't identified him yet.

So should I start over, since I actually completed the mission anyway? Or do I miss something important plot wise by not doing it right?

Goddammit spoiled ANOTHER fucking mission by glancing up from the floor just in time to see a name. FUCK these opening credits, seriously. I can respect design decisions but this is literally the stupidest thing I've seen in a game for years.

lol yeah what the fuck were they thinking....

takes out the surprise in a lot of the missions.

Can someone please just explain if this was a glitch or not, I'm pretty confused...

Quiet was about to join me as a buddy after the ridiculously cringe worthy shower sequence... and then Kaz stops her from getting in the helicopter and then she stays at the base. When I get into the helicopter, Ocelot then starts talking about how I can now select Quiet for mission deployment?

Am I going crazy here?

Just came in to say I started the game late last night so I've only played the prologue and just a short piece of the first mission.

So basically, I'm completely unable to read any of this thread right now because I've avoided all spoilers.

So basically, I'm useless here. Haha

That scene happened to me long before the shower one. There's probably some sort of trigger to it that you completed right before you went to do the side op.

That's exactly how it was for me. It was pretty confusing and I thought that something was clearly cut in between.
