it was really early for me. one of the first I saw at MB
 
Might have to stop using Quiet, once you get your bond points with her up she just becomes ridiculously broken. Especially if you don't care about not killing anyone.

"Hey Quiet, kill everyone as I sneak around looking for resources and blueprints". I just did a main mission with her killing everyone with an unsilenced sniper rifle, not getting noticed once. I only killed like 5-6 people myself, she just kept moving from base to base committing mass murder.

Normally you're spotted while driving once in normal visual range. However, if you press/hold(?) crouch Snake will cut the engines and the car will drift, which will lower the chance of detection significantly. But you can't steer or anything or he'll start it back up.

So, it's theoretically possible, but very difficult. (Using vehicle camo might reduce detection a lot; never tried it.)


Of course, if you hop in the back of a truck ground-level soldiers will never get a chance to spot you. Finding those opportunities is rare, however.
 
We know there's infinity bandanna but has anyone upgraded the stealth camo all the way to see if it can last forever?

Also, what's the deal with parasite suit capsules? Where do I get them.

You're missing the materials needed for them, probably plants.

You need to Fulton the different Skulls to get the items needed to make the capsules.

I tried lowering post process and ambient oclussion to high and go for 3200x1800 resolution downsampling. 60 fps

K-Kojima how many souls did you sell

This is on a CPU from like early 2012 too.

Not like there's much going on in the world for your CPU to be struggling with. At most you're faced with 20 enemies in a base?

Man Mission 29 sure got MGSV from "This game is awesome" to "FUCK THIS GAME"

Also, this is such bullshit.
I lost like 200 people, even though I rushed through the missions when the epidemic started. My levels are so low. :/
 
Just did episode 15.

Enjoying the game more than I did in the first 10 hours or so now. Some interesting developments going on, I don't feel like Snake is totally mute anymore, Quiet is cool. Played like 4 hours tonight.
 
The cassette tapes keep getting interrupted during gameplay. Is there a way to easily pause them? I'm listening to them now after the mission but it's kind of boring to just listen to them on their own.

Also isn't Ocelot supposed to be Russian? Not... American?

Game is straight up garbage for that.

You should be able to do the F.O.B. tutorial(s) while offline. I was able to. You'll be "invaded" during Mission 21 or so the first time. If not that, do Mission 22 again and it should allow you to tutorial.

Haven't played much, just now hitting Mission 6 I believe, but his is my GOTY by a country mile ... and I have never really dove into a MGS game before. They just havent been my thing. In 10-12 hours, this game has provided more memorable moments than any game I can think of in a long time.

These past two weeks have been nuts for me. Mad Max, Madden, Disney Infinity, along with Diablo 3 and Heroes of the Storm have me playing more games than I have in quite some time, and that's saying something.

Yeah my main criticisms of the game right now are these kind of very annoying design oversights. The game REALLY needs options like 'turn off all comms chatter' (90% of it is inconsequential anyway - you can just check mission objectives) or they should have paused the tapes during comms chatter. It is also kind of a bummer how tapes just stop when a load screen comes - would be nice to decide if I want them to stop or not. And of course, they are very awkward to access and play/stop etc while playing the game. Overall the tape system is terribly designed and how the hell did nobody come up with these easy fixes for it? It's like, the first thing you notice that is kind of fucked up about the game.

Chopper needs to disappear out of my life too. These little scenes last about 3 times as long as every loading screen and you get one before AND after.

Patch this crap!!!!! (please)

wait what. how did you lose them?

also can you lose the people you "lock" or those just can't die in any way?

Yeah, the solution to 16 was way easier than I thought it would be. Only took me 3 retries.

29 was like playing Metal Gear Rising with the wrong character.

On that note though, Mission 31 is also kinda frustrating but in the best, most epic way possible.

I don't have time for that. I've spent way too many hours building up my ranks to lose anyone due to that bullshit.

I was losing a person a minute it seems like.
