My OCD just kicked in. I'm worried about missing some important tapes and/or story dialogues. I don't want to use a guide either as I could get spoiled.

Anyways, I've got a question:

At mission 8, they recommend a missile weapon. Is a rocket launcher considered a missile weapon? Or do I have to use the chopper?

a rocket launcher will do, it's just weird wording

RPG will work fine :)

Stock up on C4 and a rocket launcher.

On that particular one I used 8 C4 + one rocket to complete the mission. There are other ways built into the mission to complete it without use of either though.

Allright, thanks to all 3 of you guys. Going to try it out with different strategies!

Can't beat mission 16 -
Damn Skulls are total damage sponges and they wear me down. I can't steal the truck and drive away in time, I can't hit them when I jump into a tank, Quiet can't do proper damage to them, and I just wander around trying to hit them with a single Launcher, which doesn't do much damage anyway. so frustrating.
I got them pretty easy with the tanks. They destroyed one and I had to switch, but it is certainly possible.

Look what i´ve just captured.

I hadn't seen the
Burning Man
in a long time so I when I finally did it was preceded by a handy little reminder to be surprised in the intro sequence.

I'm just gonna close my eyes when missions start from now

Fulton the truck, get on d-walker and hold square to jet outta there

I've spent a large portion of my time recruiting and building up motherbase. I have 621 soldiers. I just finished episode 25 and
I feel like I'm about to be punished severely for it. I hate referring to guides but I feel like my hand is forced here. Now I wish I didn't do so many side ops and recruiting before the main story

Am I supposed to be able to keep beating the same side ops or is the game just bugged? I've extracted Prisoner 01 three times now. Same with Prisoner 02.

The check box next to the mission is ticked yet I can still undertake it

So, I've taken my time with the game doing a mix of side ops and main stuff. Currently 35 hours in and about to do Mission
22
. Am I reading correctly that there are
28
missions left in the main story?

This would make my playtime easily
70ish
hours? Is that correct?

35 unique story missions. The rest are optional repeats of the existing missions with difficulty modifiers.

If you have D Walker with a Gatling gun, he can take them out in seconds.

Mother Base is so frustrating. Why can't I just choose a mission from my iDroid and go straight into the loadout screen? Instead I have to call a helicopter, go to the helipad, wait for it to arrive, get in, wait for it to take off, wait for it to fly out far enough, wait for the ACC to load, THEN choose a mission to go into the loadout.

Using DD ruins my expierence to be honest. I like using him at Outposts for quick takedowns of groups but he makes the game far too easy for my liking.

The need for recon completely disappears which is fine for a lot of people I'd imagine, but I enjoy the need for it as part of the infiltration. I feel like I can do what I want when using DD.

Back to D-Horse.

Uh so I see my crew is mining for me but how do I access what they've mined

As far as I understand it, your Base Development unit constantly mines stuff, but the stuff has to be processed before you can use it. All the little briefcases full of stuff you collect in the world (and later the shipping containers you Fulton) are processed and can be used immediately, but the stuff that's mined will only be processed... at certain points. I'm not really sure when, but it seems fairly regular (ever hour, maybe?). You'll see a little message pop up at the bottom right of the screen after missions showing how much stuff your team has processed, and presumably leveling up the team and building more platforms will get you more stuff.

I'm at 106 hours and mission 29... Feels good to have so much stuff to do and the time just flies...

I'm on mission 13, and the number and placements of enemies are just starting to get obnoxious. I don't have an hour to dedicate to tiptoeing around, only for it to go to shit in instant. There's a point it ceases to be fun. Is there a difficulty setting I missed in the options somewhere? I'm content to play things on easy.

How the fuck have I not heard of anyone bitching about episode 18 yet. this is the dumbest shit ever

From mother base you can just press select and return to the helicopter
