Holy shit some of you people try way too hard

I don't get the hate myself. I'm not a fan of his music but he's a great technical singer; not sure how anyone could deny that. This song could be great based on that alone.

Also Ellie Goulding is a pretty bad singer. Would have been a horrendous choice compared to Sam Smith.

I will change my mind if its good.

The song probably will be very similar to Skyfall.

The Bond producers, once they've found something massively successful, repeat it over and over again until everyone is completely sick of it.

I enjoyed Skyfall, really doubt this dude will come with the same impact

You guys act as if Bond songs have had an incredibly high standard so far and this Grammy winning singer is somehow beneath it. Remember that shitty Madonna song?

I don't understand people hating on Latch. Granted that's probably not indicative of what we will get here.

I've only heard the Stay With Me song by him so I can't give much of an opinion, I'm always excited for a Bond Theme song though, I wanted Adele back after how great the song Skyfall was but I didn't actually picture it happening.

Can't be any worse than "All Time High" or "The Man With A Golden Gun" themes. Those were pretty bad.

But Sam Smith is a terribly uninteresting singer based on what I heard. I turned off "Stay With Me" half way through -- I couldn't get through it.

Some of you guys kill me. I can't even fathom how it's possible to be so culturally oblivious. It's frankly nothing short of stunning.

He looks like the kind of guy who tries to impress women by talking about fighting the patriarchy.

He's gay for what it's worth.

the safest of all the safe options.

I wonder if they asked Adele again and she said no. I bet they did.

I'm sure they did. I still believe the huge business they did with Skyfall was thanks to that song playing on adult alternative radio stations every fucking 10 minutes and selling the film to 40 something moms who had no idea it existed.

Sam Smith will probably hit the same demographic.

I'm not comfortable with a Bond song NOT named after the movie it's featured in, but I'll wait to listen to it before making a judgement
