Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX |OT| .feat PuyoPuyo

This isn't *strictly* Mirai-related, but I still think it's an appropriate question: are Project DIVA F 2nd's DLC songs generally considered a worthy investment? I was thinking of dropping $30 on the complete song pack and was wondering what you all think of it.

I wish Mirai was getting a little DLC. The song list is already unbelievably good (the best of all three Western Miku games IMO), but I can't help but want more!

The DLC is a great buy, imo. Though I got the Song Pass with 10% discounted PSN credit from Fry's alongside a 10% off code on PSN. So my view may be a bit skewed, as I'm looking at a $24 purchase.

I have played the DLC songs over two hundred times, if that makes things easier! :p

Holy crap yes!

I was thinking of dropping $30 on the complete song pack and was wondering what you all think of it.

I personally still don't think the song list in F 2nd is up to par with the first F, but the DLC definitely brought it from nowhere near to almost indiscernibly close. It made all the difference.

Although to be fair, a lot of the really great F stuff was originally DLC, too - it just came with that packed in here.

Wow, the position of the X button is REALLY screwing with Playstation conditioned mind and muscle memory. This is kind of painful.

Try setting the button prompts to the directional buttons, that's helped me (and let me learn how to dual wield more effectively).

edit: beaten :P

With the DLC F2nd has the best track list in the series imo.

Set the buttons to arrows. Trust me. Your life = instantly easier, at least in this game.

You can also change the colors of the buttons to match PlayStation layout. Is pretty cool, a good idea on SEGA's part. I find that changing the colors helped me a lot, haven't tried the arrows yet.

Where is the menu for me to make this happen?

Came home and was surprised to see I received a profile card! But it turned out it was just me StreetPassing my Japanese copy. :(

Same place you change the arrows, when your on the song list, press L, and you will see the options.
Don't forget to apply the changes to all songs!

I think we should add to the OP:

Veterans, change the inputs to arrows instead of ABXY.

I love super hard mode on some songs and all of them should have it.

Especially Gaikotsu Gakudan to Riria. Shit would be insane.

Deep Sea Girl
Animal Fortune Telling
Amatsu Kitsune
Yume yume
Kokoro (old favorite)
1/6 out of gravity
Mousou Sketch (old favorite of mine, but I would prefer Usotsuki Maker)
1925
Matryoshka (I really liked this one)
Senbonzakura (as always)
Snowman
Gaikotsu Gakudan to Riria
Arifureta Sekai Seifuku
1 2 Fanclub

At least, those are the ones I keep replaying

WHAT?! I can't be the only one that loves:

Koneko no Payapaya
Ageage Again
Hello/How Are You?
Clover Club

Those are just a few, but the ones that are always in my head!

Finder
Amatsu Kitune
Ageage Again
Yumeyume
Hello/How are you?
Happy Synthesizer
reverse rainbow
1/6 -out of the gravity
Electric Love
Glow
Shake it!

!!!!Tricolore Airline!!!! (atsuzokun, one of the best vocoloid producers ever)

Oh, and switching to arrows made me feel right at home again. Time to start working on my perfects.

It's worth noting (as pointed out in other threads) that Project mirai 2 actually did use the PlayStation colors (but not the labels). DX changed the default colors to match those of the New 3DS, which is sort of throwing me a bit lol

I haven't played this yet but I've heard all these songs about a million times so I do have faves to list

Finder
Sweet Magic
Terekakushi Shishunki (Kaito version)
Age Age Again
Clover Club
Yume Yume
Koneko no Payapaya
Happy Synthesizer
Matryoshka
Senbonzakura
Invisible
Gaikotsu Gakudan to Riria
Arifureta Sekai Seifuku (also one of my favourite songs in general)
Electric Angel
Tricolore Airline
Piano x Forte x Scandal
Watashi no Jikan
Shake it!

Not sure if this or F has the strongest tracklist in the series, but it's a really close call.

Crying because I can't have Gumi as the partner in MyRoom. Oh well. Rin is a very close second, so I'll settle for having her.

At least her model's there in the songs. Also, Invisible is my favorite song in the game. 1, 2, Fanclub is a close second.

Can you tell I'm a Gumi fan?

Crying because I can't have Gumi as the partner in MyRoom.

I could not agree more with this. I wish Internet Co. gave Sega permission for more liberal use of her in this game than just her voice and character for the duets and occasional room visits.

Invisible on hard is... well, hard! Like, hella hard. Gonna need to practice that if I wanna get S+. Speaking of Invisible, I really wish they included Reincarnation in this game (it's in the same song series as Invisible). Reincarnation is probably one of my favorite vocaloid songs
occasional room visits.
The room visits are the most tormenting things

The last 25% of "Shake it!" on hard difficulty surprised the hell out of me and kind of tore me a new one. Challenged accepted.

Any way to chance who you have on the main menu?

WHO IS THIS GREEN HAIRED WOMAN THAT WASN'T IN PROJECT DIVA?!

I guess I should also ask if there's anything for collecting the stamps.

There's a change partner like right there...
Oh wow, how the hell did I miss that.

Edit: OMG I can buy Sonic, Opa-Opa, & Puyo? I wanna unlock all the Sega cameo stuff now.

AND A Virtua Fighter 2 arcade cabinet?! Wow, why weren't these in Project Diva?

I finished all of the easy mode button songs I think? Is Shake It the last song?

Pretty enjoyable and glad to have Miku on 3DS.

So Sam,

Is Sega gonna have a worldwide release for Project DIVA X? I hate having to wait a year after Japan for Miku ;-;

Not worldwide but it will probably be out 6 months later like project diva f2nd.

So how many songs from the Project Diva games are in this game? I know Romeo & Cinderella, Kokoro, & Clover Club (?) was in F/f 2nd, & I think The World is Mine was as well? Trying to remember while looking at the OP.

Edit: Seeing as food is back, do certain characters like certain foods/drinks more? I remember in Project Diva, Rin/Len = Orange Juice, Luka = sushi.

The ones you said, plus Melancholic, Senbonzakura, *Hello Planet, and Electric Angel.

Oh, I think I remember Hello Planet from the first PD game. That was a decent song.

Forgot about the others, probably since they were in the first game, which it's been quite a while since I've played it.

Aah, I don't remember Electric Angel since that was a DLC song for F/f 2nd.

I guess last question of the night is how to know when a song lets you change between Vocaloids? Will it just tell me after playing it a second time that "hey, you can use a different character now"?

O like both, but don't play them as much. Clover Club I heard way too many times in F 2nd.

Gumi deserves a solo game. Either by Sega or by Marvelous or anyone that makes a great rhythm game.

Yes there is, not sure if reactions are different.

This happened today...

Electric Angel was also in project diva extend.

Not only can you play a tune,
you can create your own tune with this (button bottom right), save it, and when you StreetPass other players, instead of the normal doorbell, it plays your saved tune.

Wow this game has everything. Thank you sega for bringing these games to the west.

That's better than me. For Project mirai 2 my theme was just Mary Had A Little Lamb. I went a little overboard with DX with... Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

Excellent taste my friend those are some real classics, maybe I can make a tune too! I'm pretty bad though...
