Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX |OT| .feat PuyoPuyo

Doing all the songs on hard and I can barely beat them. My brain keeps trying to process what ABXY is or the arrows mean so I'm a second late. This is a result of playing Project Diva series on Playstation for so many years. I need my Playstation button icons!

Change every input to arrows and add playstation colors. It makes everything much easier

Yeah, already tried that, still takes me a second to process it. I usually look for the shapes in the Project Diva games. Hope playing this game won't screw my brain up for Project Diva X when it comes out.

The colors are the same as the letters on the New 3DS XL buttons, so it's not as hard adjusting from the PD colors of the shapes to this for me. Plus arrows help SOOOO much.

Also wow, people weren't kidding about songs being long. Electric Love felt like it went twice as long as it should've. It's not really a bad song, but it feels less like a challenge & more of a damn endurance test. I fear I'm going to discover another song that's as long, if not LONGER.

& need to figure out the rules for Reversi. I can never tell if the piece I place will go diagonal, vertical, or horizontal....yet I somehow keep winning.

496 cool, 33 fine, 529 perfect combo on normal. I can't imagine a 529 cool on that song. It's gotta be close to 6 minutes, no?

Hello/How Are You?
Clover Club

O like both, but don't play them as much. Clover Club I heard way too many times in F 2nd.

Gumi deserves a solo game. Either by Sega or by Marvelous or anyone that makes a great rhythm game.

So did I, but I felt like I was getting a whole new experience with Project Mirai DX.

My absolute favorite on F 2nd was Clockwork Clown.

Oh my gosh I love when my vocaloids use their allowance and buy stuff. <3 I am enjoying that aspect as much as the actual rhythm portion of the game!

I liked a lot of songs in F 2nd, including Clockword Clown. Even searched for the artist cds because of the song.

I guess in terms of favorite songs I would rank F 2nd as the best, then Project Diva Extend, then Mirai with PDF

For my personal tune, I put the put the theme from Animal Crossing New Leaf. I luckily had enough space to fit the intial part of the theme. Initially, I wanted to put Melt by Supercell to be my tune, but I couldnt properly fit the song within the alloted space.

Age Age Again on Hard/Button = all my EFF

Seriously, that mode is no joke.
I did Invisible Hard just to see if I could clear a 9 rating.
I barely made it, but I passed it with a C.

Also you can use L+R to snapshot your score since it doesn't have Miiverse support.

I passed it with no mods, amazingly enough, and I have no clue how I got an A on that.

i used the junes jingle, woo eight notes

i have played more puyo puyo than rhythm game...i wish everything was already unlocked so i can play ageage again

Gaikotsu Gakudan to Riria is pretty fun. It kinda hurts my hand playing it, though, since I kinda just mash my way through the harder parts of the song with one hand lol.

Lol, In the store, the yellow roller's description: "It's yellow and flattens stuff. MUDA MUDA MUDA WRRRYY!"

So I was curious and decided to find out if this joke was inherited from the original Japanese text or something made up for the localization. So here is the description in Project mirai 2: http://i.imgur.com/I48FPsv.jpg

The Japanese joke is along the same lines, but is a little more subtle - the second part is roughly "even if you're trying to escape, it's MUDA MUDAA!". It's clearly a little too long to fit in the box provided in English, thus the significantly less subtle joke.

Really the thing you hqve to do for that song is memorize the pattern for the (yyxxyy yb) part or whatever notes it is, once I had that down I never got less than an S on the song.

Mah idol has arrived.

Box is in mediocre condition though but I can live with it.

Never played a Hatsune Miku game and I don't care about Vocaloids, but I'm really liking this game.

And really liking a few songs, surprisingly. I'd have to look up their names later, but Hello/How Are You is great.

I also did as much of the Super Mario Bros. theme as I could fit for my personal theme.

I got the game but the box was bent so badly I sent it back for a replacement and made sure they packaged it properly this time

At least I hope so...

Amazon ships all their Special Edition cardboard box games in bubble mailers and their regular games in cardboard. It's the most backwards, frustrating thing.

Beat every hard/extra hard song with an s or s+. Games fun, but it's easier than the diva series. This isn't a bad thing because I want to keep my hands alive.

I see this, and yet I remember how difficult Age Age Again on Hard was and I twitch a little.

I guess it depends on how good you were at the original PD games.

It begins.

I also started with Hatsune Miku games and now I like a lot of Vocaloid songs. I did play a bunch of games that feature vocaloid songs so it build from there

EDIT:
I'll take Age Age Again over the hand genocide that was 2D Dream Fever

Age is a walk in the park compared to 2D Dream.

Ooh, we're sharing stories?

The Ievan Polka thing was how I first disovered Miku/Vocaloids. Not too long after, videos of the Project Diva games hit the net, my S.O. sent me the first game for PSP, and the rest is history.

I love 2D Dream Fever, it's so addicting to play and probably the first difficult song I surprisingly was able to finish.
Just unlocked 1 2 Fanclub. I'm really taking my time with this game. First going through all the easy modes and then working my way up.

I'm so on the fence about this game. I want it but I can practically visualize it's place in my backlog next to all the other rhythm games I've been meaning to play.

i didnt understand vocaloids at all but i really loved EBA and osu! and other rhythm games

my friend liked vocaloids and i just made fun of it as a silly weeb thing (its irony i swear) but did a double take when he told me about project diva f, because i wasnt aware vocaloids had games because i am dumb.

and then of course buying diva f lead to feverishly downloading japanese F 2nd as soon as it hit PSN and so on

side edit: this game would be game of the forever if i could play puyopuyo over the internet, curses

To me was the US demo of the first PDF. Then I played a lot of the first, imported the Vita version of PDF 2nd and really liked a lot of songs. Bought the PSP games while traveling and even got to see a live show.

Just recently that I started searching a few artists albums to get songs outside the games.

I really only care about Vocaloids when it comes to the games. Otherwise, I find the music very hit or miss, though at the very least, so far, there really isn't any songs in both Project Diva & so far in Mirai that I actually dislike or go "I never want to hear that song ever again".

.......well aside from STAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY WITH MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

Also, anyone got a screencap of the roadroller & its descriptions? Wish the 3DS could take screenshots of what you're playing, but no, only of the main menu.

...actually, now that I think about it, why is this called "Project Mirai", or rather, "Project Future"? I mean, Project Diva kind of makes sense considering Miku can be seen as a virtual diva.

Why does everyone hate this song? I love Stay With Me. :'(

Miku's name is based on an alternate reading of the kanji for 'future'. Her name directly translates to "first sound of the future". The future is Miku.

Don't worry, I'm right there with you.

Stay With Me was horrifying to play through. It didn't help that I had to keep playing it on extreme to get the perfect because I kept messing up towards the end on an easy song :/

Ahh, so more wordplay involving her name, like the number 39.

Why does everyone hate this song? I love Stay With Me. :'(
It's mainly the chrous and the fact it sounds as though Meiko's voice isn't meant to go that high pitched, so it sounds really shaky & kind of hurts my ears. The rest of the song is fine.

Personally I like to think it's because in the future, climate change, cosmic radiation and other factors will distort our bodies until we all turn into nendoroids.

my copy still hasn't shipped yet so that's all I can contribute to the thread for now :(

Dude, you have to play PuyoPuyo Tetris.

I want to. I know I'll most likely have to import it. But I have bad luck in these situations. I just bought Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen after holding off for years in hope of a PC version to be release. And Capcom announces it literally days later.

I'm sure Sega will announce an American release of PuyoPuyo Tetris as soon as my copy ships from overseas.
