For anyone still looking for the Collector's Edition of MGSV: Phantom Pain (PS4 or Xbox One), Amazon.de still has it for normal price! This will sell out quickly though I think, so hurry up! :D

DS2: SOTFS is on sale on Steam for £14.99... I'm tempted but I still haven't played Dark Souls 1 (lol)

Do you think it'll go down even further by the winter sale?

So where's the best place to pre-order the Uncharted Collection? It's £42 on Amazon which seems insanely expensive, but I am a PC gamer at heart and I rarely buy day one so is that just the price of AAA games on PS4? If so I'll just bite the bullet and get it from Amazon.

@Super Mario Maker players – would SimplyGames.com be a good solution? They broke street date right, left and centre for MGSV. If you order by 3.30pm on any day, they deliver the next day, first class, for free.

CDKeys now killing it at £10.49 for Mad Max on PC

www.cdkeys.com/pc/games/mad-max-pc

I guess this is what I got on board PC gaming for. A savvy friend of mine swears by them. I'm a little dubious but I'll bite for this one.

Couldn't resist at that price. Downloading now, cheers.

Anybody think that the Wii U will get a price drop before Christmas. I want to get one but don't want to end up paying over the odds.
I wouldn't count on it. I think Nintendo has accepted its too late to make a difference and they ve come to terms with its current performance.

I don't get why it's still so expensive. Surely at this point in it's life it would be best just to sell it quite cheaply and try and make returns on the excellent software? Especially as that never really goes on sale. It's bizarre, I feel like they're locking out so many customers by overpricing it.

Yeah, since the games are mostly so high in price still, I expect cheap hardware.

Quick question for those that use Argos regularly, how do they work with new releases? Can you ever reserve them a few days before release for pick-up when they release or is it a matter of running into the store first on that morning? I have the 3DS XL Animal Crossing bundle pre-ordered elsewhere but saw Argos will have it and for a lot cheaper so I will probably go there.

Could just keep your eye on Destiny, it's out Tuesday but not on Argos' website yet, so it'd be a good indicator as to when you'd be able to reserve Animal Crossing.

At worst though you could probably reserve it online first thing on the morning of release without a lot of hassle.

Taking TTK's suggestion of Destiny: TTK, it does not seem you can reserve items on their website until they're officially released. I wouldn't be surprised if you could pay a deposit in-store and do it in person though. But yeah, rather than feeling the need to go straight into store, you could do it on the morning on their website and that will give you until 3pm the following day to pick it up from any branch of your choosing.

Taking TTK's suggestion of Destiny: TTK...

I can't even begin to tell you how annoying it is that my username abbreviates to the same thing as a ridiculously popular game does.

There's going to be some really confusing threads on GAF over the next year. I bet someone starts an "I HATE TTK" thread which will make me double-take :lol

Nintendo doesn't want marketshare, they want profits at the moment. So they don't have any incentive to lower the price.

Also, a higher price will make their new console seem "cheaper" in comparison if they can offer new technology at the same price.

Is PS4 + MGSV for £289 instore at Jlewis/Sainsburys the best PS4 deal going? A friend was looking to buy one.

Simply Games are doing the console alone (the 500GB) for £250 - I think you can get the game for a little under £40 so slightly cheaper that way but personally, I think I would just get the bundle for ease!

Guys if release date delivery is important to you, be very weary of ordering from Nintendo UK store. Despite being shipped out on Wednesday, Super Mario Maker still hasn't arrived today. I just checked the email and they gave me a date of on or before September 14th which is ridiculous considering I ordered a few months ago and people have had the game for days now.

Mine should have been delivered yesterday but Yodel have mucked up the address - most of it is missing from the delivery details and as is my name. This still didn't stop them attempting delivery but say that they couldn't get access to the property; given that they don't know what the property is, that's a neat trick!

Nintendo had the full address, which it's confirmed was entered into the Yodel system. No idea how long this is going to take to resolved *sigh*

Nintendo's store is The Hut/Zavvi - not known for reliability and delivery times really.

You can pre order on argos UK, not argos Eire, have to wait for it to go up on launch day.

Cheers. Yeah, I think getting it at JL will be slightly better - you get the warranty bump too.

You won't be able to trade it in if it's a non-UK copy.

Depends totally on where you are. All my Euro stock goes to my local CEX totally fine, they just have to search it on the system if the barcode doesn't scan. If it's an issue where you are Lambada, email them and ask. They're upfront about it.

Yeah but nobody really aims to make money off hardware, software (especially first party) is where it's at and that's what people buy Nintendo consoles for.

1 person buying a £200 console + 2 games vs. 2 people buying a £100 console + 2 games each

Does anyone know any sites where you can get digital only games cheaper than through the Playstation store? I'm considering getting Rocket League. My damn Playstation Plus expired the month it was free and I didn't really pay much attention to what games were out that month. I'm not desperate, but I've played it with some people and it seems like good fun with mates.

From the UK btw.

US PSN, probably. It requires making a new PSN account tho and buying digital PSN vouchers from US Amazon.

It's cheap PSN credit you'd need look for. Cdkeys.com might save you a couple of quid, but not much.
