I feel like people will be happy, even if a lot of what's shown is updates on games we already know.
Looking forward to it. I personally want a new PS4 IP or two from Japan studios but definitely keeping my expectations in check regarding their announcements at this conference.

Wait anyone know the YouTube link or the Ustream link

Or is this event only gonna be broadcast on NicoNico?

Other sources too. The links just aren't available yet.

If all we got at the conference is what was already confirmed to be at TGS plus some probable stuff like Danganronpa 3 and Persona 5 (always a wild card, that one), I'd be happy.

Yeah, hoping for Extreme Versus and if that leak is correct...

Well, Bamco has said that we can expect an update for the next console IM@S this year earlier in the year. TGS is the right time for it.

Really looking forward to see what they can do with the IP, as it's clearly something that Bamco is massively invested into broadening it further and further.

Though for Gundam, I kinda wish they would revisit the Encounters in Space/Gundam vs Zeta Gundam/SEED : Neverending Tomorrow approach again. I really liked those games conceptually, even if the controls were often a poor man's ZoE.

I dunno, I ain't staying up till 4am for updates if you know what I mean.

I'm not pretending to know anything, but what exactly are your expectations for this show?

Because going by previous year's shows, there will be plenty of new announces, but realistically, a large bulk of them are going to be announcements of games that won't resonate with a large part of GAF.

Stuff like manga adaption games, Japanese IPs with a niche following, games that won't rock your socks in terms of graphics or presentation are common for showcases in the SCEJA show, because well, they often go for quantity.

At best, there'll probably be 2-3 "big" announcements, and even that may depend on what one defines as big. Last year's Dragon Quest Heroes was given the red carpet treatment and was unquestionably a big deal for Japan, but a lot of us saw "lol no XI" and didn't really make it out to be that big of a deal.

The DQ Heroes reaction was hilarious because it was just the beginning and I think some people didn't take that into consideration. It was a huge deal because now there are what... 4 DQ games on the system with one being the next mainline? That's huge.

3am EST Tuesday morning??? If so, nice. By the time I wake up, I can go online and read all the announcements and watch the videos. Perfect for me. :)

Updates to current games is all I need.

Give me more DQXI
More Star Ocean 5
More Hot Shots Golf
More Street Fighter V
More Final Fantasy XV
More The Last Guardian
More Kingdom Hearts 3

Show me a tease of Final Fantasy VII-R
Show me a tease of Shenmue 3
Show me a tease of Nier 2

Show me Level 5's JRPG for PS4
Show me Japan Studio's unique project
Show me Bloodborne DLC ( beast mode PvP hunting please! )

Stuff like the above is all I need. More from what we know and a few surprises. There are so many announced games out there that I do not need a half dozen new projects to keep track of and feel hype for. Got too many already. Just, good showings from the above and lemme see what Level 5 can do with the PS4 and we are set.

Gut feeling says probably not but do you guys think there will be any original Morpheus software shown from Japan studios? It would be interesting to see how they approach VR development from the ground up.

It's 3 years now since they first announced Gundam and IM@S PS4.

Idolmaster will be there in some form, either at Sony's show or at TGS. At least, it was part of the Bandai Namco TGS lineup leak.

That Gundam game they originally teased was confirmed to be the free-to-play one that recently launched (Gundam Battle Operation NEXT). The first actual trailer for Battle Operation NEXT featured the same visuals from the original 2013 teaser: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fHhyC8M5cgU

Yeah, hoping for Extreme Versus and if that leak is correct...

...But obviously that doesn't mean there can't be more than one Gundam coming to PS4. Extreme VS Force would be nice. :3

FFVIIR will be shown at Jump Festa at the earliest or at a dedicated SE event in January or so. They said they'll show more come winter, which starts on Dec 22th. Jump Festa is on Dec 20/21st Dec., so that would fit.

or at the PSX Event in early December, since Final Fantay 7 is strongly connected to history of playstation

I can't get hyped for the conference.

I do expect to see Bloodborne expansion, Level 5 project and a few more surprises at the conference.

You expect a new Level-5 console game, more Bloodborne and some surprises and cant get hyped? COME ON MAN! Let it consumes you.

I would already be in hype mode even if the only thing they show at the conference ends up being a 30 seconds Bloodborne DLC trailer.

This doesn't make any sense. Bloodborne expansion is hype worthy, let alone a proper console game from Level 5.

Why do we assume they have another project besides Dragon Quest XI though ?

I hope Sony is smart enough to make Bloodborne into a franchise with From. I love DS and all, but I want my horror-esque in your face gameplay of BB to live alongside it.

Level 5 is not making Dragon Quest XI. Armor Project is.

Edit: Beaten.

I am definitely hyped for TGS, just not that much for Sony's TGS show TBH.

TGS

Level 5 is not developing Dragon Quest XI. It is another studio, the one who developed Dragon Quest X.

I guess if you don't like Japanese games, you might be soured on TGS. Me? I'm in this shit. So what if some of it doesn't get localized (like the Gundam game probably won't be!)? I'll import.

By the way, do they ever announce arcade game releases at TGS? If they don't, Gundam VS is a lock for PS4 and probably PS3. Maybe just the former, since the PS3 couldn't even handle that game splitscreen.
