I love the way the game plays, I just wish the side ops weren't as repetitive, and the game was finished - besides mission 51 being cut, it felt like it needed a third sand box location. It also should allow me to play the game on hard or extreme, not just a few remixed levels to pad out the mission count.

Strangelove's and Paz's plot points were actually the only two with a bit of shock to them (and Kaz's torture, maybe), in a game that promised demons left and right.
Infact, i'd say Strangelove's tape is the most emotionally impactful moment of the game, and i didn't play PW, so i don't even know who she is.

Just because its not a conventional 3-act structure does not mean its incomplete or invalid.

The story is structured around the game-play, specifically the whole base-building metagame. Content-wise its business as usual, Kojima using the props and stage-dressing of espionage/war-fiction to riff on various themes and concepts he finds interesting philosophically and ludologically.

Lol. Maybe you should take the time to understand points before trying to argue.

I'll throw you a hint: no one said anything about a 3-act structure.

Mantis is controlled by whoever has the lust for revenge. Man on Fire controls him at first and sets off to kill BB by his own hands. The soldiers were in the way.

Later on Mantis is controlled by Venom, and he acts by summoning the whale.

Yup, all this following the B&B nightmare from 4. Kojima is kind of a piece of shit. Thank God he doesn't really delve into race issues in Chapter 2. I'm not sure I could have survived. The guy desperately needs to go somewhere where he's allowed to come up with insane gameplay systems and details but has significant oversight to tone down his garbage writing and keep the story from flying off the rails like it has in every game since 3.

Got Hero rank, which apparently came with a bonus 30k hero points, but I still got a big ol' horn, which I think I got due to wantonly killing everyone in my path lately.

The TOTAL STEALTH mission for Over the Fence is so easy. Easy S and easy money there. Just climb through the crack in the mountain to the left of the prison. First neutralize the guard nearest to the crack, climb, move ahead, and HAIDARA the next two guards you encounter. Stun-DD should handle the third one. Extract dude. Retrace steps. Done.

This "extreme" missions aren't even all that hard...

This shit didn't occur pre-MGSV... I think Hideo's idea of "darker" themes are limited to rape, and sexual violence... really mature stuff. You know so mature it's in a shit ton of B horror movies, and gross non essential media. Blech. Mature/Dark themes does not = Rape... please stop thinking it does!? I don't have a clue as to why EVERY creator ever thinks that Rape is the only dark/mature theme to explore, when it's been explored to DEATH... by EVERYONE... ugh... Kid's getting killed is dark stuff... it happens... nobody uses that shit in media because I guess they're worried about what might happen... I thought Quinten Flynn's performance was fantastic. His best role yet that didn't just use his same old voice... Raiden sounded tired as hell... and psychopathic. He also sounded much more confident than in MGS2.
