level 5 mmo? the fuck? lol
i expect MH to come to ps4 within the next 2 years, pretty sure verendus mentioned it's coming either way

Akihiro Hino talked about wanting to explore MMORPGs a couple years ago and I have been holding out hope ever since. Something like a large scale Fantasy Life would be my dream game.

CAPCOM should do a PS4/Vita for the Japan market.

But that 3DS install base tho..very hard to pass on. The DQ situation again.......so if it's any indication, a PS4(/Vita maybe)/3DS is probable....

Danganronpa twitter translation

In response, Danganronpa producer Yoshinori Terasawa said: “This is being streamed, right? It was starting at 16:00, is that right? Is it bad if I don’t see it? Will I get the feeling that I missed something? (lol)”

The Danganronpa account responded, “I have a feeling it’ll be a conference that shouldn’t be missed… If you don’t see it, you’ll regret it!”

Project Setsuna better be a turn-based RPG if it's indeed made to harken the good old days of the fanbase.

Square's already said that it's a mid-tier project (which is a very good thing). I'd expect it to be very old-school in design since it's not a project that's going to break the bank for Square.

2 am ?

Perfect i'll just be finishing up my "ok, one more side op" MGSV session

Edit: Nvm its 3am for me, guess i'll have something to read at work

What are the chances Capcom showing RE7? Personally i think they would leave that for E3.

RE6 was announced outside of an event, so realistically they could announce it at any time. But at TGS or E3 they could give an opportunity for the public to playtest it, which might be a good idea considering the reception to RE6.

So who knows? :p

Nah i don't think the game would be at playable form for the public to test it.What i am hoping is for a teaser or a proper trailer (probably with no gameplay) at best.

Here's my guesses for the show ....

1.) 1 Level 5 JRPG reveal. Either Ni No Kuni 2 or Dark Cloud 3. If it is Dark Cloud 3, I will freak the fuck out. Not to take anything away from the awesomeness of a Ni No Kuni 2, but Dark Cloud 3 is one of my dream games. Right up there with DQXI on PS4 and FF7 Remake ( which ended up being nothing like I wanted unfortunately ).

2.) Street Fighter V character reveals
3.) Yakuza 6
4.) PS2 Emulator unveil. Staged rollouts of titles, digital downloads. Software emulation.
5.) The Last Guardian. Brand new footage presented by Yoshida + Ueda. Release window announced.
6.) Final Fantasy XV footage + release date announcement
7.) Hot Shots Golf reveal
8.) Monster Hunter PS4 reveal ( 5? )
9.) Deep Down showcase / release date announcement
10.) Resident Evil 7 reveal
11.) Dragon Quest Heroes 2 showcase
12.) Dragon Quest XI showcase
13.) Dragon Quest Builders showcase
14.) Star Ocean 5 showcase.
15.) Persona 5 showcase + playable on show floor + release date announcement
16.) Morpheus presentation
17.) Tekken 7 showcase
18.) new sega game announcement
19.) colorful platformer project reveal from SCEJ

My " last big game " type announcement, going out on a limb, a SCEJ - Mistwalker project. Huge budget. Sakaguchi producing. Chrono Trigger style combat system ( aka open world but when you touch an enemy, you line up for combat in real time ).

Major presence at the show will be Capcom, SquareEnix, SCEJ

I think they will replay the FFVII Remake announcement trailer.

I also think this show will be a JRPG barrage the likes of which we have not seen since the PS1 days to be honest. Just tons ... TONS of JRPG's down the pike

Sony's publishing Level 5's JRPG, so there's zero chance it's Ni no Kuni. New IP would be my bet. Regardless of what it is, I just hope Hino's not writing it.

I like the rest of your list though, even though I think you're setting yourself up for disappointment. I always try to set my expectations fairly low.

Really hope we get something Gravity Daze/Rush. I dont care if its news about a remaster or sequel, just something. Really happy that this is at a normal time for people in europe :p

Verendus said there are 2 level 5 exclusives. 1 is in-house, the other is Sony published/collaboration.

in-house could be ni no kuni 2 or any number of things. the collaboration one would most likely be Dark Cloud since they published that series back in the day. Did they publish Rogue Galaxy? Can't recall.

People are crazy for expecting MH5 for PS4.

nah

“There’s a limit to how long something can be continuously developed on the same hardware,” Capcom COO Haruhiro Tsujimoto said in an interview. “The Monster Hunter series started out on the PlayStation 2, then on the PlayStation Portable. Monster Hunter Portable 3rd [which was a huge hit] had reached the end of the line, and in order to meet new expectations, it was required for us to switch platforms.

“The series did start out on Sony platforms, but it’s just realistic to think that it can’t continue on one platform forever,” says Tsujimoto. “With Monster Hunter 4, it actually just came down to timing - we were developing a new Monster Hunter and the 3DS hardware had just come out, so we figured it was probably the best platform for us to develop it on. You have two screens, with action on top and menus on the bottom, and there’s the 3D view as well. It just made sense to put it onto 3DS.”

So, they had Monster Hunter start on PS2, moved to PSP and then switched to Nintendo to " reach new expectations ". Now that MH has been on Nintendo platforms for a good while. Time to move onto new hardware again.

And this time the Playstation platforms are established with the next MH title in development. So why not? Capcom has never acted like it was a major thing for MH to be exclusive to the Nintendo platforms. They usually dance around the issue, or give reasonings like the above.

Verendus has stated there are multiple MH titles in development for PS4. And just like Dragon Quest. Once you get the fanbase used to the idea of Dragon Quest on the Playstation brand, you lower the hammer with the main entry of the series hitting as well on the same platform. Only makes sense.

Well usually the "insiders" and other random actual insiders tease events for which they've heard things are gonna happen (PSX SFV, E3 2009, E3 2015, ...)

There's been none of that so far.

I'd be happy with updates on things already announced.

Looks like we'll get more TLG info, that'd be enough.

You ever consider they're being quiet on purpose?
