SCEJA Press Conference 2015 dated for September 15

Nothing's changed. We'll get our 2015 release date in either a couple of hours or at the Persona event. We have no reason to believe it will be delayed.

Girl, just for that, you're getting ten japanese titles with cute high school girls as protagonists who are all secretly in love with the player and they're all the archetypes you can think of! Tsundere, dandere, kuudere. Name it, you got it!
 
Boy, I hope someone is compiling a list of quotes of all the Persona 5 release date believers/doubters. That's probably the thing I'm looking forward to most right after the actual date itself.
 
People are trying to connect the dots with the PS2 classics and a sequel, which doesn't mean fuck all for the latter since the former can exist without having some sort of alternate meaning.

We have a list in the Persona community :) Most of us actually think 2015. It's just a very vocal dozen or so that disagree.

Perfect. Unfortunately, I rarely visit the community side of things unless it's for some Manga-GAF thing every now and then but I'm looking forward to the list.

As for an Ape Escape sequel, I'd be lying if I said that I didn't want PS2 classics over it.

The quotes regarding P5's release date aren't nearly as fun in the Persona Community as they are outside of it. Whichever way it goes, it'll be fun to see compilations and crow eaten.

Lol mostly just wishful thinking. I've just been waiting on an Ape Escape 4 for years and seeing it getting thrown around in this thread's getting me a bit hyped :P. Plus, I'd imagine SCEJA would be the ones announcing an Ape Escape game over SCEA or SCEE, so yeah, just wishful thinking.

Very wishful thinking. If America didn't get Ape Escape 1 & 2 on PSN and Japan did, you can rest assured that it won't happen anytime soon. I feel your pain though... I want it back too, although I don't know if it'll survive in this ultra realistic generation we are in right now. People would get turned off from its "cartoonish" graphics and only serve to cater towards a niche audience.
 
I don't think Persona 5 is going to be delayed. I know we are so used to the whole delaython these days but in the past, we have similar major game releases without any delays. The most recent example is Fallout 4 and Resident Evil 6 also had a relatively fast release from reveal to release.

Persona 3-4 also had a short reveal to release duration so I don't understand why people expect Persona 5 to be delayed. It is not like they are going for the next gen cutting edge tech. It is more like Fallout 4 will a cross-gen approach.

While we’ll stress that the briefing is primarily aimed at a Japanese audience and not everything featured is guaranteed to make it to European shores, there will be enough on show to make it worth being a little late for work/school 😉

People also need to remember Persona 5 was delayed once for almost a year now.
I feel like most of their works including localization are pretty much done at this point.

The same as every year, well I like games aimed at the Japaneese audience, the only sucky part is praying they get localised even if it's sub only.

This is a good point. It already got delayed once and that was probably for extra time for the PS4 version.

The stream apparently starts an hour before the conference does.
 
On transitioning Japanese gamers to the PS4: shit is about to be a tough love situation.

I don't think this will be the TGS that it happens, but more than a few games will probably be PS4 only starting soon. Pony up for those new consoles - we can't keep running this shit on old hardware.

Well, MGSV outsold the PS3 version quite easily. But we'll have to wait for other games to see if that's a trend or just something about MGSV. Star Ocean 5 and Persona 5 are both due this year, so they'll be good measuring sticks.

Yeah, that's the part that sucks, hoping the cool shit definitely gets brought over. I still can't believe NB hasn't announced the PS4 version of God Eater getting localized, especially with a PS4 version and an anime...
