Fifa time
Until Dawn loosing steam. Look like Word of Mouth is not helping much or there is not much Word of Mouth for it.
Isnt it the same type of sport, just different rules? If so, i would think that both things attracts many of the same fans.ughh.
Who writes this?
Different sports man.
Here's one of our resident xboners belittling a sony exclusive sales position, rather than talk about the new Forza selling less than the previous version, or indeed, its spin off series from last year.
Maybe 'Word of Mouth' can save it.
Forza is a spent force. Too many releases with no real difference (and honestly nothing to be excited over) and I'd say more competition with Project Cars.

As of October 17 2014, 19 days after release Forza Horizon 2 was at 478,014 users

FM6 is basically at that after 11 days , why would they need to stop.
I'm surprised that there are people willing to buy PES one week before FIFA.

Someone I talked to on Twitter is convinced GT7 will sell 10 million copies. I'm not joking.

It hasn't even been a week yet. How many people do you reckon sold the game in under a week? How many people do you realistically think have logged into it on a different account? But you have to consider people who sold the game and shared copies in homes.
Worldwide I expect it to sell less than GT5 and comfortably more than GT6 (assuming it's even halfway decent release).Sim racing glory days is over, I guess it won't sell as much as GT5.
PS4 set to receive a price drop in India

Rs. 39,990 > Rs. 34,990.
Still so fucking expensive.
I think the genre declining is a real thing. Forza will struggle more because of the lower sales of the Xbox One and too many Forza games, but I can't see GT hitting 10 million again. It doesn't feel nearly as mainstream as it did when GT5 was released.
That sounds pretty realistic tbh
I highly, highly, doubt it'll be better in terms of Metacritic average. At least it maybe better than Forza 6

I highly, highly, doubt it. If the genre's in decline, then there's no way GT7 is going to reach that mark.

I had no idea PS4 was this expensive in India. Even after the price drop, it is too much IMO.PS4 set to receive a price drop in India

I'm not denying it's bombed, although it's a bit early to tell. I think the genre being stale is one of the reasons for poor sales. This is their second best territory.
It's sales are inline with the Order which is celebrated for bombing.
The Order sold over 360k in EU.I'm not denying it's bombed, although it's a bit early to tell. I think the genre being stale is one of the reasons for poor sales.
The fact that The Order was single player only meant that it had no legs at all, the second hand market cannibalised sales very quickly.
Unique players. New way of tracking sales it seems
If any racing game is going to make 10 million lifetime sales it'll be GT7
Think the biggest hurdle GT7 to hit 10 million would have is the slow Japanese PS4 takeup compared to the PS3. I'd bet it'll still hit the around 5 million mark in Europe if it comes out in a couple of years.
GT5 did not really sell that much in Japan that the ROTW can't make up .
GT7 would likely ned PAL to cover dropping sales in Japan/US but if there's one racing sim with any chance of 10 million it's GT7, and to be fair with PS4 proving more popular than PS3 it's not that outlandish a thought.I don't think I'm going to buy that, it's MHO.
Forza has legs though, it will be sitting in the lower end of the charts for the next 9 months. Forza has not hit number one yet this generation. If Destiny was not out this week it might have got it.

Unique players. Better way of estimating numbers than a bunch of forum members guessing them..
I think the biggest benefit to GT is the rise of Playstation in new territories, places that haven't been burned out on the franchise. Someone posted a chart the other day where more PS4s have been sold in Asia than PS2s in the same time frame, the fall of Japan has coincided with a rise in the rest of Asia.

Get a grip, there is nothing wrong with what noobie said. He isn't belittling the sales, stop being so defensive. Here's one of our resident xboners belittling a sony exclusive sales position, rather than talk about the new Forza selling less than the previous version, or indeed, its spin off series from last year.

Thank god you showed him his place without revealing your own "preference" in process. Here's one of our resident xboners belittling a sony exclusive sales position, rather than talk about the new Forza selling less than the previous version, or indeed, its spin off series from last year.

i guess GT7 will be big mainly because Ps4 userbase will be HUGE when it launches...
I mean Console will sell over 100m by some years now, and GT has huge fanbase so who knows about that 10m sales being possible...
GT5 did it and in such a much smaller userbase.
