lol chill bruh, wait until they're actually revealed. And a lot of people went with that, Nostradamus.
I still think Gief and Sim are the remaining two
I was amongst the first. Hell, I may have been the first (on GAF).Wasn't a very popular guess?

Hope Urien has his custom block sound.
I only said "sans SFI" on account of Birdie being counted as an Alpha character. As for a potential curve ball, Ono's awesome & all, but he's no Sakurai.Fixed that for you =(
I still want another odd ball move from Ono, just so we are all wrong.
Also, the timing of the announcements seems a little too fast. Maybe they will start talking DLC characters faster than I thought.
I'm curious if this thread will just combust if they reveal another SFII character.
Me, I'd be a bit disappointed. I think only 4 or so of us would get enjoyment out of it, but only if it's Zangief &/or Dhalsim since it pertains to the bet. SFII character reveals this late in the game are golf clap-tier, not lose my shit-tier.I'm curious if this thread will just combust if they reveal another SFII character.
So awesomeI was amongst the first. Hell, I may have been the first (on GAF).
Sounds like a volleyball more than metalOH HELL YESS... Dat metal block sound tho.
He's also (low) mid tier in 3sGood enough. Still beats his 3S standing.
I'm curious if this thread will just combust if they reveal another SFII character.
I got what I came for, I'm just rooting for the SF3 guys to get their wishesI'm curious if this thread will just combust if they reveal another SFII character.
I'm still trying to verify it. I know I posted something about that hypothesis earlier in this thread, but my Google-Fu isn't on point. I think I mentioned it around EVO.So awesome
Agreed, but it'll be more out of surprise than anything else.It will if neither Alex/Urien or Gief/Sim are revealed;
You know, almost everyone said this. It's really irritating when you think you "called it". It's like "calling" a presidential election during the generals - big whup.I was amongst the first. Hell, I may have been the first (on GAF).
This entire thread will be nuked from orbit if Blanka is revealed. FightingGAF will cease to exist.I'm curious if this thread will just combust if they reveal another SFII character.
I'm saying that I clearly remember mentioning the possibility when everyone was jumping to the SFII section conclusion. You know, almost everyone said this. It's really irritating when you think you "called it". It's like "calling" a presidential election during the generals - big whup.
Roster |OT2| incomingI'm curious if this thread will just combust if they reveal another SFII character.
Yeah, but me and many others also said the same thing you did. That's why it's annoying to say "called it" like it's a big deal.I'm saying that I clearly remember mentioning the possibility when everyone was jumping to the SFII section conclusion.
He was hella good in TvC.He was actually top tier in that, wasn't he?
And somewhere, there will be a guy going like this. This entire thread will be nuked from orbit if Blanka is revealed. FightingGAF will cease to exist.
What swerve?Wait for the swerve...
Yup. It's debatable whether he's low-mid or high-low (and mostly because he his match ups with the high and top tiers aren't that bad; like, he actually goes 6:4 vs Urien, IIRC), but it's clear he's not very good. He's also (low) mid tier in 3s
Spent about 4 hours with sf5 rashid build today. Played Birdie and Rashid if you guys want to ask questions.
Also asked Matt from Capcom: would you consider Alex and Urien "classic characters"? And he replied yesTake that as you will.

A lot of his matchups are uphill battles, but the way the character works he can win clean vs almost anyone if played well. I would say the major exceptions are Chun, Ken, Mak and Oro. Also, Urien is a very balanced character in general. His best matchups are probably around 6:4, sans Twelve and Sean who aren't for real.Yup. Yeah, but that goalpost was moved weeks ago by some other guy. That second sentence was also weird considering you refused to accept that DLC is a good idea for this game the other day 😨
The question is, when he's revealed does it make the thread title accurate or not? Can't wait for that Zangief reveal now!
Bro, he went on a two page rant about how there would be tons of backlash if there were DLC characters revealed before launch, because even free DLC characters cost time (???).That is not what Ferrio said. It's obvious to everyone here but you that the Siliconera leak was accurate. Use some common sense for a moment here: how realistically likely is it that they'd have found out about Urien and Alex and leaked their inclusion if they were DLC characters?
Despite all the speculation and reading too far into cryptic hints from Capcom reps, we've had the list from the start with the info from Ken Bogard and the Siliconera leak. Ken obviously knew about the names of the newcomers, and Siliconera obviously had a source for their info on Mika/Karin/Alex/Urien.
What's your source for thinking Alex/Urien won't be in the initial roster? Baseless assumption doesn't count as a source by the way.
That's the name in Japan. It's not universally called Street Fighter Zero.Street Fighter Zero is a numbered entry!
Zero is not a number now according to gaf.
I blame common core.
And where is the game being made? That's the name in Japan. It's not universally called Street Fighter Zero.
More like this:And somewhere, there will be a guy going like this.
He's 5:5 against Ken (and Ryu), actually. Chun, Mak, and Oro wreck him, bad, though. But in his defense, Chun wrecks everyone.A lot of his matchups are uphill battles, but the way the character works he can win clean vs almost anyone if played well. I would say the major exceptions are Chun, Ken, Mak and Oro. Also, Urien is a very balanced character in general. His best matchups are probably around 6:4, sans Twelve and Sean who aren't for real.
Japan, but you get my point. That blue section was clearly the Street Fighter Alpha/Zero section. And where is the game being made?
oh lawd this thread will be full of bodies when DeeJay comes thru and wrecks the buildings
Just like the big one is clearly SF2?Japan, but you get my point. That blue section was clearly the Street Fighter Alpha/Zero section.

And uh, do you really think they don't have the DLC characters planned out? We got the Predator leak for MKX before the game even released.
This guy gets it. And why would Siliconera list Alex & Urien first if they were DLC. And again, Siliconera would have specified if they were DLC (Siliconera has quite the reputation that they don't want sullied)That is not what Ferrio said. The difference there is that there's a reliable leak that would state otherwise. Just like how the same leak made it clear that Birdie & Charlie were in the Alpha section.Just like the big one is clearly SF2?
Right, and everyone told you how you didn't manage to do that. Unless you're just saying that there haven't been DLC characters revealed yet, which is true. The whole point of my posting yesterday was to say that these DLC scenarios that you're coming up with to try and discount the leak would be totally illogical and out of line of what we've seen from Capcom regarding SFV so far.
We need some arbitrary justification for how Alex could be on the rosterI really dont get this "Numbered" SF BS. 0 is a fkin number , Capcom have been known to label all their prequels as 0. Or even Japan in general. Yakuza 0,RE 0..etc.
SF 0,Alpha is canon and part of the mainline franchise. Its not like EX, or that movie game.
Yeah, because "a source that has proven themselves reliable numerous times in the past & have already gotten the characters they reported on last correct" is totally an arbitrary reason. We need some arbitrary justification for how Alex could be on the roster
