I'm surprised you think the conservative circle jerk can turn a presidential election seeing as we just saw them fail to do exactly that in 2012... Like, your second sentence really paints the picture. They are going to row this boat repeatedly because they have no choice, and they are going to INSIST that it can turn an election because republicans have no choice but to believe that.
They know they have no candidates that can beat her, in order for them to even have hope, they need a wildcard in play. And this is as close as they are going to get. So benghazi and emails it will be. And we will watch them talk themselves into the fantasy land of a repub winning the election, and watch them go on about how they can't wait for the salt, only to sulk election night when the inevitable happens.
This is why I'm having zero mercy after the election. When the conservatives lose Im going to rub it in any of their faces that have the balls to show up. I'm sorry but its bullshit. Their party is outright disrespecting women's rights, being completely and openly racist and all around full of feces and people still fucking support them.
I think you're missing the point of this being a partisan issue, this is a national security issue that affects all not just one party.

Unless there is some actual serious crimes here(which it seems there isn't) this isn't going to do shit to Hillary. Maybe make a few states closer but the democrats have such a built in electoral advantage it will take more then this.
If calling Obama a terrorist, a radical religious follower and a Muslim didn't work much, I doubt a boring email scandal will topple Hillary.

How is it a national security issue? It's nowadays that you cannot use your personal email account like this and anyone who did would be in actual legal trouble.

Well honestly I think that's why no one cares. Benghazi was better than this because you could claim she got Americans killed. It's harder to make the mishandling of emails a controversy when so many people are tech illiterate to begin with

Yeah, I know. It's funny too. I can't say they're the same people because I don't track all that, but I've seen GAF go into an uproar over smaller things and here are people saying this isn't a problem at all?
From what I've read, there is apparently little regulation on the matter of how official emails are handled. This is a problem in and of itself, but not one I'm inclined to hold against Clinton particularly as there is also apparently precedent for emailing on official matters through private accounts. My concern is her repeated lack of transparency and humility on the matter.
Actually, independents aren't really independents, they just like saying they are. Quite a bunch of them are former Republicans. Independents aren't the people who decide elections anymore. It's a matter of turning out more numbers of a particular side rather than of convincing independents, because the return on investment is better on turnout of Democratic or Democratic-leaning voters than of sitting down with independents to convince them on issues.
The reason why Hillary's numbers have dropped from a few months ago have little to do with her emails. When polled about the issue, majority of the sample said they don't give a shit.
If you want to see the actual emails, WSJ has a database.
Also I just searched "pls print" (+ sender Hillary Clinton) in that database and it seems like some 3000 emails involved someone asking someone to print something. lol
Thing is, if you interacted with any older people who are tech illiterate at all, Hillary being dumb about her emails is actually not that incredulous.
What you can say is that as a high level government official, she should be better about this. I'm of the opinion that I've seen enough stupidity from old people about tech, and even young people who do stupid things that it's hard to muster any sort of real anger over the issue. Considering that my mom doesn't even know how to shut down a PC. Or my professor didn't know how to do simple formatting in a new Word version. Or a young kid who gave up using a laptop because he was too used to touchscreen iPad.

I'm confused... She did handle classified info on a server outside of the policy of the united States government which has policies and procedures that are mandatory not optional. How is that not a national security issue?

Her main sin was a failure to hop into her time machine, go back in time, and make sure that she'd be in compliance with rules that would be implemented in the future.
God I hope it ends up being Trump vs Clinton. Though if Trump actually managed to get the nomination, I'd prefer Sanders.
All the Republican nominees do that just by being themselves.

None of this should be news until they actually find information she sent that wasn't retroactively classified. Previous secretaries practiced the same measures she did because they were never told how to handle it. It just so happens that our classification process screwed over Clinton.

My belief? The security community in whole have concluded that given Clinton's embellished stories, there can not be some inappropriate data.

Given Clinton's track record I have little to no confidence that she followed any of the guidelines or regulations. As to back peddling, naw its my firm belief that she is going to get burned by this.
