He picks high tier charcters most of the time. Ryu was very good in quite a few different titles.
Idgi he's still an amazing 2x Ryu player, even though he also plays guile and boxer
Fair enough, kind of goes back to my point. I doubt any pros have hard mains.
I main Lili in Tekken and even if she's dumpster tier in T7 I'll still play her. However my livelihood doesn't depend on my ability to win games of Tekken at a pro level (And thank god for that, like having a place to live and enjoy not starving to death).

Daigo used Ryu in ST, but he started with Guile and Boxer as far as I know. Those are the 3 main characters he uses in SF2. He uses Sagat occasionally.
In Alpha 3 he used Akuma, but then switched to Ryu. In CvS he used Guile and Ryu. In Cvs2 he used Guile, and Sagat as the two main stays with like Cammy, Chun, etc... as his 3rd character. In Fighting Jam he used Guile and Urien. In 3S he used Ken. In SF4 he used Ryu, Guile, Evil Ryu, and Yun. He recently said he would really like to use Guile some more, but that he finds Guile lacking to win with him.
I've always thought of Daigo as Ryu and Guile, though most people just associate him with only Ryu.

The only one you can be certain of is Mago. He is 100% a Karin fan. I feel like EG is just jumping on the bandwagon, but Mago's favorite character really is Karin and he told Capcom last year that he wanted her in the game. He already said he's going to main her even if she was low tier. Also, Snake said he was going to main Birdie unless Gief is in the game.

I'm surprised to hear that but I can respect it. I'm also maining her regardless, but as I stated above I'm no pro player. Karin is just awesome though.
I'd be down for Darun or Pullum.
D. Dark would probably be my first choice from EX though.

For SF4, I believe he experimented more with Akuma than Guile when Ryu was nerfed.

He only played Akuma once in tournament which I think was an NSB tournament where he ended up losing to Eita. He used Guile at Canada Cup. Before settling on Evil Ryu he was thinking of using Guile or Ken. He recently (3 or so months ago) started practicing Guile for the DJ matchup, but not sure if he will ever use him again.

Shaved hot Ryu is DLC, the beard is an earn-able item, you just have to reach grand master class online with Ryu or win a CPT event.

If I'm not mistaken hasn't all the character reveal pictures that Ono has posted before been a of a already revealed character getting hit by the soon to be revealed one? I think that the picture is just teasing the new stage and not a new character reveal.

Yes it really looks like it, but it would seem too obvious, Ono is usually more subtle. Well, I hope it's not Zangief.
By the way is this teaser linked to the Mexico event? Do we expect an announcement tomorrow?
I was thinking about something, what if it's indeed only a stage teaser, Mika/wrestling stage, in which Zangief is in the background. This picture could just be a freecam shot from behind a background character, like the first one was.
It would be the biggest troll ever.
I'm thinking this or its a wrestling stage and zangief runs it so it has his decorative aesthetics.

Probably one. Unless they are honestly going to do 2 this weekend and 2 next weekend.
No way because we are getting 2 characters on the weekend of October 8.
If it's Gief, I hope his Mecha alt is his default look in the game, and they tie it to story cannon somehow.
