Nah, every time they used an item to tease a character they didn't try to mislead us (Birdie's skull symbol, Mika's microphone). Except maybe with the banana peel.

Necro would be cool to get over Zangief imo, but the sceptic in me isn't ready to believe he might actually have a chance to be in. We'll have to wait and see like always I guess.
But if is does actually happen to be Zangief instead of Alex or Urien? I for one would be quite salty at that point. I mean, for all the rumored characters to turn out to be true, even a quite obscure one like R.frigginMika, but not the only two people that represent III? Not fair, Capcom, not fair at all!
It could still all be an elaborate troll indeed though.

In SF4 it's a 225°-motion already (HCB, Up/back + punch).
The diameter also looks a little too small for a belt.
If we're really getting a bunch of character reveals so close to each other, I could see them revealing two SF2 characters back to back. Maybe Laura will be after or between them and then Zen is the final reveal at PSX or something.
Also, Ono's tease and the reveal being in Russia does make me lean a bit towards Gief.

Well, 20 hours to go. Then we'll know.
Still, my money's on Zen. All of the characters in the blue section have been revealed, & even if Alex & Urien are in the game, I'm not sure if Ono would bother teasing them since they'd be in the green section. The only ones who are for sure eligible for Twitter teasers now are the newcomers, & Laura's probably being saved for next week.
