Yeah don't really miss those posts. I honestly didn't think the Lions would finish below you guys in the division but lo and behold it's on it's way to happening. Last time I think that highly of Detroit I guess.
Over the last couple of years, more defensive oriented coaches have been hired. Jets, Browns, Cardinals, Bills, 49ers... It's just a natural progression coming off of years of offensive minded coaches being hired, which led to massive amounts of scoring, so now the chess match is becoming a bit more even, but still favors the offense.
And what a great thing it has done for our wonderful defense.

Exactly. Look how much better Winston is doing than Mariota. Bet it would look different if Mariota played in a pro-style offense.

This is a long season that really has only the Patriots and Packers above the rest. Things could change quickly 4 weeks from now whether it be strength of schedule for certain teams or injuries. If we can pull off a win tomorrow night I'm certain we'll be back in the playoff hunt.
There was a nice time at the start of the season where we were up 21-3 against the Chargers. We've stayed close in all 3 games against good opponents but haven't been able to pull one out.
Like I said if we can pull out a win tomorrow night, and this team certainly has the talent to do so, we're back in the playoff hunt in the NFC. If we don't the season is officially over and all we can do is play spoiler and see where we end up in the draft. And we have a few compensatory picks coming from Suh and Fairley leaving plus the trade down with the Broncos last draft.

No Sturgis missed 2 huge kicks to cost the Eagles their game.

I'm willing to try Parkey out with the bad groin. He supposedly played with it against the Jets, can't be worse than Sturgis.

Luck's release looks like it has gotten slower and sloppier this year, and is accuracy has been worse this year than any other. Not sure if it's due to injury, but I'm hoping he works on some things on a mechanics level.
I read something that said that Luck's size/bulk makes it hard for him to quicken his release. Hasslebald's quick release saved him quite a few times in the pocket today.
I used to hear this same thing about Tebow and other QBs that are sort of bulky (Wussle?). I am confused, how exactly does this affect throwing motion? And what allows guys who have the body of the average gaffer (PeyPey, Tammy, Ben, Erron) pretty much fine tune their throwing motion to their liking?
