NFL 2015 Week 4 |OT| - A Fraud Loses His Roar

There were no open receivers. I got a great chuckle out of how Smith and Boldin were all acting frustrated because they were totally covered and he didn't give them a chance to make the play. He used to put it on a line to their back-shoulder or loft it up for them to go make a play on but he was obviously instructed to take zero chances. Take the gun away from the gunslinger and that is what you have.

Yes, there were chances to move the team but this is what happens when you have ZERO TRUST in your offensive line and receivers. When the baseline becomes that you can't step into a throw and have to move immediately after taking a 3 step drop then you can't blame the QB for being skittish when, on the rare occasion, he does get time. My dad was saying he saw this before with Jim Plunkett back in the 1970s - the offensive line was just sooooooo bad that he got killed and lost all trust and confidence. Then he moved to Oakland with a good line and the rest is history.

I also think this "training" with Warner has fucked him up as well. He short armed a throw last week to the rare open receiver (Smith) that was intercepted. Say what you want about Kaep but how often does he underthrow a receiver when he can step into a throw? That never happened in previous years.
Oh my oh my. You're going to be shocked as more and more All-22 screens get posted. Guys were open numerous, NUMEROUS times yesterday.

The all 22 footage paints a brutal picture for kap. I don't give a fuck about the coaches or anything else. We had receivers open (by nfl standards) all fucking day and he can't find them.

An average qb would have put up 3+ TD'S yesterday. Kap can't put up one. And his 40 yard "pass" was a shovel pass behind the LOS.

Ridiculous
If the O-line is smart, they'll let them sack Kap all day until hc replaces Kap with someone who can find open receivers once or twice.

Re: Suh, here's a friendly reminder from yesterday on how he's playing.

ZCCkbjX.gif

The play before this where he gets sucked up in a block trying to rush the passer while his team was gashed for 15 yards or so was even worse.

Whoever is telling Kap not to run is messing him up bad. Fuck the open guys on that play, if he just tucks it and runs he scores. The 2 receivers in front of him can block and that leaves one defender to try and tackle him in the open field. It seems like he is only running as a last option and that is stupid. Why take away a weapon like that, when he beat GB in the playoffs it was by running to set up the pass. SF needs a coach that will let him get back to that, or they need to bench him and move on.
This is exactly what the current CS is doing! They've said numerous times they want him to be himself, they scheme runs and in no way stop him from running. He cut and ran numerous times yesterday, and frankly, I wish that'd be all he does.

It's his inability to see the field and recognize coverage that is killing him. No one else to blame anymore.

Eagles fans will have to fill me in on this one: What's the deal with Marcus Smith? Was he a Howie pick? If he is a healthy scratch on a team with injuries all over the LB corps, why keep him on the roster?

"You ain't Russel Wilson Bruh" ~Clay Matthews

Although Matthews just actin out cause things were going his way. Reign it in a little Clay.

Chip has made allusions to him being a Howie pick, yeah. He probably wouldn't have even made the team out of camp if it wasn't for the Travis Long injury. He's only around because they needed bodies at OLB.

As to why he didn't dress on Sunday, Chip said it was a special teams thing. Najee Goode and Brad Jones are better on ST than Smith.

I haven't watched any 49ers games since the opener but if this is true, than yeah, telling a running QB not to run is very stupid. It's part of their game, helps get their confidence going, and taking it away is basically neutering them. A guy like Kaep, with his speed and elusiveness, should always have a run/pass option, especially near the goal line.

Heat of the moment, alot of stuff gets said on field/court during games that im sure otherwise wouldn't be said.

It's the same reason why Wilson doesnt run like he used to. It just doesnt make financial sense to have a run-first QB once they start making money. Not that Kaep's contract is so over the top, but it's just not worth the risk. Especially if you're a first year coach. It's why this "modern mobile QB takeover" has been vastly over exaggerated. The most important skills of the best QBs are the same as they've always been for the most part.

What's worst then a 0-3 record is probably heading to Seattle with that record lol...

Just the same,I hope for a Lions win tonight, just because underdog effect and all ;)

Yeah, I'm not sure where the "he isn't being allowed to run" BS is coming from. He's had 40+ yards per game rushing this year and is averaging over 5 yards per carry. The problem is he can't do that every play. Defenses have figured out that he's a running threat and defend accordingly. If his speed and athletic ability is all he has going for him (and it's becoming more and more apparent this is the case) then maybe he just isn't cut out to be a QB.

It's weird because the league is so geared and favorable to the QB position, but there is like 4-5 good QBs in the league and everyone else is mediocre. It sort of reminds me of the early 00s in the NBA when there was like a handful of legit elite players and everyone else had to convince themselves that Vince Carter, Stephon Marbury or Steve Francis were championship calibur players. Ryan Tannehill and Andy Dalton are the Marbury and Francis of the NFL.

Except that Dalton has all world talent around him. Top notch LT and good OL, AAA WR, two capable backs one of which is fantastic in the pass game, a TE with a ton of talent. Yeah, Dalton isn't doing this on his own.

They've been stacked..but at the end of the day it's Prime Time Dalton...

The Dallas Cowboys waived DT Ken Bishop and LB Keith Smith on Monday.
Making room for McClain and Hardy I guess but with Dunbar being out for the year only needed to cut one guy. Hmm... another forget move is in the works most likely

The more I hear about Dolphins, the more I hear of current/former NFL team or league executives in Stephen Ross's ear. Crowded kitchen.

Yeah, he'll probably fuck it up. His contract is team friendly, so they can cut ties if another option becomes available. Bengals have drafted really well, still need some help on D, LB and younger corners, but they've stocked up and haven't tied themselves with some huge albatross contract.

The improvements he's made in his reads and his pocket passing are worth it.

Feels like 1997 in Houston: Rockets just reached West Finals, Astros have a shot at playoffs after long drought, & there is no NFL team

What will TexansGAF do when Hasselbeck wins Thursday

its amazing how much people from other teams like to talk about the Texans, you would think we were a dynasty.

The Texans and rats are both 1-3, the ravens have a superbowl winning head coach and qb the Texans have neither, whats the ravens excuse?

Why the fuck do I have to watch the Lions in primetime again? Was Kas in charge of the 2015 scheduling? Who actually thought they'd be a good team and worth watching?

I don't think he ever did, he usually has one look and locks on one guy, eventually the league figured him out.

No, that is what makes it worse. He is going through his progressions, he's just not identifying where to throw. This is a million times worse than only looking at one guy.

I didn't watch yesterday's game but against the other teams, he's definitely went through progressions. You could see him turning his head and body.

They lost Gary Kubiak!

lol, coming at me like I don't think the Ravens suck

Ravens gonna start 0-3

"AFC North still good"

Bengals gonna annually lose their only playoff game of the year
Ben already hurt
Browns still Browning
Ravens barely win in OT after a billion gifts against fucking Vick
Division gonna lose out of the playoffs for the third straight year
Ravens about to lose, but at least the rest of the division's trash too :')
The Browns will win against the Ravens this season
The 49ers will beat the Ravens this season

At some point you gotta be honest. I always try to be. And at this point the only times I talk about my teams are to shit on them, because that's what they deserve. I don't even acknowledge the Nationals because they're at the point they don't deserve the breath.

Two of the three teams mentioned are wasting generational players (Texans Watt, Nats Harper). At least the Ravens got shit in that department. They got shit elsewhere too, and I point that out.

The thing about honesty is you got to be equal opportunity about it. I don't discriminate. Every team sucks this year including and especially mine. But this Thursday mine isn't on display (last week they were, and I said many times they'd lose. They barely didn't. They will the next time they meet), and it's a good discussion topic because 1) it's upcoming and 2) this thread needs posts.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Shake it off, it's playoff baseball!

You said Harper, eh? Maybe Watt should brawl with somebody on the offense during Special Teams?
