It's larger, so no. I also dont think the bottom connector is the same since the tablet cannot stand on its own, making it silly to have it be compatible with the Type Cover.

I may not get one this year, because my 1520 is still great. Not sure. I want that SP4 for me and the Surface Book Pro and dock for my GF though. It's time she has a decent laptop and being able to share a display when I visit with one dock is pretty legit.

I get a new phone each year, so thankfully I don't have to worry.

You should look into if any of your local carriers have this service, because it basically keeps me on the latest hardware (phone wise anyway).
