Couple of friends of mine couldn't get rid of their old plasma TV after buying a new set, so they basically dumped it on me with the condition that I'd help them move it. For $0, I have no complaints. (Google coming out with a new Chromecast mere days later made the whole "how do I get content on this thing with no consoles or cable TV" aspect simple.)

Yeah, the picture on this thing is amazing. They told me they were buying a new set basically just because and I was like "why?" Only a 720p set, but they aren't the type to care about resolution so I still can't figure it out. I think they just wanted to spend money.
This thing looks great, yeah. The Go is awesome, the process of finding one that doesn't have a beat-to-death screen less so. Good pick-up.
How's it holding up? I caved and ordered one for my new silver 6s and I'm really hoping it stays pretty.

Very nice. I really love the form factor of the Go, though shame it was hampered by proprietary memory cards but onboard storage was quite nice.
I'm running CFW on mine and am using it to play my copies of PSP games that never got a digital release (I'm looking at you MG Acid series & Crisis Core!) as well as my PS1 games.

It's been a while since I posted, so some is from a little while ago.
Grabbed an iPhone 6 Plus from a friend who upgraded to a 6S Plus. It's not the latest, but it sure is a heck of a lot more current than my iPhone 5. it's also freaking huge :|
The little circular hanging thing is a cheapass Logitech X100 speaker. Works wonderfully for podcasts and music when I'm away from my desk.
Some meebs, and MGS V.
Oh, and a 64GB Vita memory card :3

I've been waiting for some Platinum goodness for this year and this finally came. Don't really care for Transformers franchise but this game looks really really good. Weird that only one store had this at all in stock here in Finland.
Still haven't watched Fury Road but will definetily check it out as soon as possible. Picked up Wyrmwood also since the trailers looked good. Have no idea if it is any good though.
I love me some trash movies and actually get most enjoyment out them compared to any other type of films so decided to get few Troma movies as I have never seen any of them. Already watched The Taint and Poultrygeist before posting this here and have to say that Taint wasn't bad in a good way. Probably will write about it in some movie thread soon since holy shit. Poultrygeist however was hilarious and recommend it if you want some dumb gory fun.
And last but not least bought some hardcore punk vinyls.

Very refreshing to pop a game in and start playing instead of waiting on patches and updates. Also my first Activision-published game I bought since...I wanna say Guitar Hero? Of course Platinum was the main draw, but still.
It would be incredibly weird if the publisher was taking up any percentage of the "draw" for you

Probably the best thing to a SNES controller, GAF has been singing it's praises and I must admit the buttons are uncanny and fit the original, it's a few mm thicker but by god this thing puts modern controllers to shame, especially the D-Pad/ I also have to mention that the packaging is premium, it was like getting an appile product, sleeved boxed with extra goodies to boot and a detailed manual. Great for PC/Phone/Tablet/Consoles or any other bluetooth device.
I'm using mine as a 2nd player controller for my arcade cabinet.

I got my Splatoon Ikasu Art Book in from Amazon Japan today! This is absolutely my new favorite art book, and I own plenty of film and gaming art books. I won't post any inside shots to avoid spoilers/getting in trouble for scans, so I'll just share a couple of cool shots of the book cover.
The book jacket has some awesome unexpected details, featuring embossing on all the lettering and three embossed translucent ink splats. I included a picture I took using flash so you can see those awesome ink splats and embossing. There's also a small slip around the jacket showing selections from the book and advertising the Splatune soundtrack. The actual book itself has a super cool blue design and is very thick and hefty, clocking in at about 320 pages.
I cannot recommend this book enough! It's got absolutely everything--concept art, character art, pictures of every single item, render, location, etc., omake comics, a collection of every Twitter production post...I could go on forever! I can dig it! Buy this now. Right now. Do it.
