Cool news -- I thought for sure an Ant-Man sequel would be at least four years out, if it ever happened at all. Glad we're getting Panther before Infinity War too.

Sucks Captain Marvel got pushed again, but we'll likely see her in Infinity War pt. 1 anyway.

I like the think some of the love Coates was getting on Twitter helped. Probably not but I will keep thinking it./

I guess this means they've got a little more time to stew over the casting / director for Captain Marvel.

I wonder what the three for 2020 are?

Additionally, Ant-Man’s second adventure will lead to a couple of other films shifting their dates, with Marvel’s “Black Panther” moving up to February 16, 2018 and Marvel’s “Captain Marvel” landing on March 8, 2019.

*raises eyebrow*

Moving both Black Panther and Captain Marvel out of summer slots?

Hmmm.

I sure hope so.

Unfortunate about Captain Marvel, but great news for Ant-Man! I was worried the characters were going to be relegated to supporting roles on other films since Ant-Man didn't explode like Guardians did.

Yayyy Wasp. Haters be damned!

My guess is Guardians 3, Spider-Man 2 and possibly Dr. Strange 2 depending on its performance.

We need the updated schedule, don't have we now have 3 films every year starting in 2017?

Also, Inhumans is still locked right?

Hmmm.

Captain Marvel had been slated for November. Black Panther was a summer release, but it was also being sandwiched between Aquaman, animated Spider-Man, and some unannounced X-Men movie (literally one after another for the month of July), so makes sense to get it out of that clusterfuck.

Feb would be great for Black Panther because there is only horror movies, shit the studios HAD to release even thought they suck, and Oscar bait.

Sick. But I mean, if that's how the title's gonna be (not just being numbered) it should be Ant-Man, Wasp, and Luis. Luis is the Avenger we all deserve.

I wonder if Captain Marvel getting pushed back is just a scheduling thing or if they're having trouble with scripting/casting for some reason. The cynic in me wonders if they didn't put the movie on the books just so the Carol Corps would stop asking when they were going to give Carol a movie at every event they go to.

Now I'm imagining an awesome, heartbreaking scene with swelling music of Scott and Hope desperately fighting Thanos together, side by side, with one being struck down, the other horrified/shocked before being KO'd also.

Wicked. I'll admit I fully expected for this to never happen, considering the film wasn't a smash hit (and Marvel simply has so many films in the pipeline right now).

Hopefully they explore both the Lang & Pym sides of the story - they obviously left the identity of the original Wasp up in the air for sequel purposes. Maybe this film is about rescuing her from the subatomic level?

Also, it is indeed a bummer that this has pushed Captain Marvel so far back. Hopefully they can fill the void by getting that character in other films, sooner.

Not sure what you're getting at. In this day and age, I really don't think that has anything to do with "lack of faith" in the movies or other nonsense.
