Moving to three movies a year, I see. I'm sure that won't cause any sort of audience fatigue at all.
What alternative they have , its not like those made by the competitors are any good recently

Wicked. I'll admit I fully expected for this to never happen, considering the film wasn't a smash hit (and Marvel simply has so many films in the pipeline right now).
Hopefully they explore both the Lang & Pym sides of the story - they obviously left the identity of the original Wasp up in the air for sequel purposes. Maybe this film is about rescuing her from the subatomic level?
Also, it is indeed a bummer that this has pushed Captain Marvel and Black Panther so far back. Hopefully they can fill the void by getting those characters in other films, sooner.
Black Panther during Black History month? I see you marvel.
is Black Panther a 5%er?
Captain Marvel had been slated for November. Black Panther was a summer release, but it was also being sandwiched between Aquaman, animated Spider-Man, and some unannounced X-Men movie (literally one after another for the month of July), so makes sense to get it out of that clusterfuck.
It would still be a part of Marvel's lineup. They're the ones who announced the date for the first film in phase 3.
Not sure what you're getting at. In this day and age, I really don't think that has anything to do with "lack of faith" in the movies or other nonsense.
I'm surprised they greenlit Ant-Man 2 considering the mixed critical response and the fact it didn't exactly set the box office on fire.
I've said it before. Hollywood will always prioritize the sequel of a moderate hit over risking a new IP. This is yet another proof of that.Wicked. I'll admit I fully expected for this to never happen, considering the film wasn't a smash hit (and Marvel simply has so many films in the pipeline right now).
Ant-Man got around an 80% on Rotten Tomatoes. That's pretty damn good, if you ask me.Woo! Hopefully, this means that Captain Marvel script will be excellent and doesn't succumb to the typical Marvel movie fault of having a terrible villain. I'm surprised they greenlit Ant-Man 2 considering the mixed critical response and the fact it didn't exactly set the box office on fire. Hopefully, they can better the script and make it strike that right balance of humor, aciton, and story.
Within the next 5 to 10 years, every A & B-list actor & actress is going to get that Marvel money at the rate they're making films.
Since they've announced Captain Marvel they don't actually need to make the movie - or any other with a female lead. They can always point to the fact that they finally announced it, back then, and have it in production. Meanwhile they can jam in as many of the old guys sequels and side projects as they wish. Screw you guys - it was already way overdue when it was announced, and not near enough to have one project among 20, 30, whatever films, and yet they've pushed it back and announced a ton of other shit since and it's not getting any closer - quite the opposite - while their other female heroes are getting fuck all attention.
What happened to November 2018?
February has become an unexpected sweet spot for action movies. Kingsman made most of it's domestic cash in that month, American Sniper did well in the time frame (January release, but it had a long tail), and FOX is releasing Deadpool that month. The February stigma is dead.I would be concerned about moving Black Panther up, but considering that it's now in February they must be super confident.
I'm a little worried about BP now.
Februray?
February is the month studios release films they know won't do very well.
I hope this movie sets a new standard for the month like Winter Solider (in April 2014).
Why?Nothing in November for 2018 and 2019.

Oh I hadn't noticed that. That sure is a whole lotta mahvel.
