Do we know they got it from the same source? Iirc they posted karin and mika at a different time entirely. It's very possible there were two sources (one of which that was clearly wrong).

They never said it was the same source. And though they did make separate reports, it could have been just a lucky guess from bad info.
Can you tell if there's going to be a character reveal?
It would be really odd if they were tipped on dlc that's far off.

In Birdie's character art I guess he's standing in central park? Maybe it's a stage transition for the New York stage. Figures Ken would live up here.
Birdie's on the far right side of the London stage- there's a tunnel there that's rarely visible because of camera angles.

I think people crying bacause backgroun Alex (doesn't look like him, anyway) are topping Ono at trolling this thread. No way a grown-up called himself a fan would be so salty about a backgound character. So, I would suggest everybody responding not falling for the obvious bait.

That Birdie background is actually part of the London stage... there might be a transition for that stage that isn't revealed yet.
I'm not sure if that's Alex. And even then, background characters have been playable in the past (Bison, Balrog, Vega, Hugo, etc.). But even then, Zangief's reveal pretty much killed the Alex/Urien half of the Siliconera leak.
How do you know it's only half right? Why does it have to be the starting roster. That was never what they said. Just that Alex and Urien will be in SF5.
Why? Do you think they didn't had any idea who would be DLC back then? They certainly already have a few characters ready to be sold as dlc since the very beginning
btw I remember the Siliconera leaks were reported like one hour from each other, maybe it is actually the same source
If the two were DLC, Siliconera would have stated otherwise. Plus Alex & Urien were leaked first.
We'll it would just be weird because I believe a Capcom employee said no day 1 dlc I think there's a quote of that on this thread somewhere. To me it would seem really strange for dlc that's further down the line to leak so early, just doesn't seem plausible to me.

We don't know what there source is and what they told Siliconera. We only know that Siliconera reported that they'd be playable and that's it.
Also, the two reports from them were like an hour apart so they're probably the same source.

That's just really convenient, don't you think? They've said nothing about DLC, reading into what they haven't said is just giving them credibility they didn't really earn.

Central park would have been cool. It feels just like the Beijing stage, practically an alt. Nice day time lightning
I'm feeling this stage tho, i think they did a good job. I wonder if it'll have a transition. They're some alleyways/small streets down there they could maybe do something cool with.
This won't happen but I just imagine a trailer playing showing Ryu and ken fighting on the stage with ken winning then out of the background Alex jumps into the fray because he's tired of watching. It would be an insane suprise and very exciting. It turns out Alex was only on the background for this build or something lol.

Anyway, the NYC stage confirms to me that Alex is somewhere in the cards for sure. Obviously most likely future DLC.
I mean if you aren't talking about the starting roster why talk at all? I assume by the time they're done pumping out characters we're gonna have almost 50 characters,if i say "Yeah dudley is gonna be in, i have insider info" and 3 years they reveal him do i really gain any credibility?

The obvious scenario is that Capcom is currently working on more than just the starting 16 characters (maybe 20 or so), as steady DLC characters are a major part of the plan. On top of that, they probably have a working list of 25-30 characters they are planning to include thus far. The person who obtained the information may not have had any idea who exactly the starting roster would be, or may have obtained information before a starting roster was cemented.
Remember, it is interesting that Ken Bogard had information on the starting roster number, and the names of 3 new characters, but had no clue what the returning cast would be. Different people get access to different information. Someone could have easily found out that R Mika, Karin, Alex, and Urien were going to be in the game, but didn't have any idea of the actual release structure of a starting 16 roster + DLC (maybe it is for a specific reason that the character leaks were separated by game, that may have something to do with how or why the person had the information).
This is all random conjecture of course, but the point is, if Alex and Urien are early DLC characters, then it is pretty obvious the leak was legit. If Alex and Urien show up in 2018, then you have a point.
