Street Fighter V Roster Discussion |Thread 2| Deal with it & place your hope for DLC

legit? could you choose stages

Yeah. It better say like that for release. I find it annoying that you can only train on one stage 4 even after all the revisions.
Also, only R.Mika and Vega were available. Chose R.Mika, moved around for a little bit and it kicked me. Was in for around 5 mins. I wouldn't be surprised if they plan on doing stress tests like they did before. Would explain why they pushed the patch out as early as they did.

Now its not like Sagat and Guile CANNOT be in , but just that the chances of Dhalsim is higher. Hes more unique and Guile although completely different from Charlie , does share many visual design similarities with him. Same case with Sagat and shotos. Dhalsim is easily the most unique out of the bunch.

In the way they are changing the characters, it's possible to be Guile so we can see how much they can make him different from Charlie. Kinda of what happened with Ken/Ryu. They are showing those are completely different from the get go.

That said, I just expect Guile for NYCC. If he's not there, not believing anymore (and I don't even play as Guile)

* reads thread *

...yeah, uh... I'm just waiting for Juri. I have no scientific / mathematic basis for wanting her inclusion.

You and me both. She is so fun to play and I would raise footsies hell with her in this game.

I don't even think there is a character reveal tomorrow. If anything they might unveil the story mode tomorrow. Makes sense to show story mode at comic con.

It would be a good opportunity. If they are taking story seriously this time, my guess is that it will be similar to MK X and it will begin before SF3 and end it after it.

I have a question for the Third Strike fans out there. Alex and Urien, as I understand, are both popular characters from their game, the former being the main character, and the latter being the main sub-boss. SF4 and SFxT were both two huge opportunities for them to show up in, but didn't. Hugo, Ibuki, Elena, Dudley, Makoto and the garbage Twins made the cast for those games over them.

Why? Are they really not as popular as I thought they were, or are they simply wanted in the game because they were absent for so long?

The only characters from third strike that are leas popular than Alex and Urien are Necro Twelve Gill and Sean.

They're both popular (Alex placed #1 in the most recent Event Hubs poll), it solely has to do with Capcom.

Either Capcom didn't think they'd fit into SF4 or they were just waiting for SFV to bring them back. Like someone else said, Capcom are the only ones who know why they bring/don't bring someone back.

Lots of people don't even know Alex is MC and Urien got bopped by the real boss in SF3

I still love Urien tho

So if Capcom picks characters from SF3 that didn't make to Ultra based on their popularity, Alex and Urien would be behind Q and Remy?

Kinda surprised Urien is low , he was played a lot in 3S and an extremely fun/hype character.

But most people vote based on visual design rather than gameplay , I never understood the love for Ibuki. Mak and Dudley were legit though.

Urien da gawd, was just pretending to get bopped. He will overthrow both shadaloo and gill and become true villain of SF *insert Urien's godlk laugh here*.

That they picked the unused people from Alpha should tell you the unused people from 3S will be first in line for DLC, among whom Alex and Urien are p notorious.

They are picking the most-Used from SF 2 while picking the Un-used from Alpha.

Wasn't that non canon or something. Like it doesn't matter because Urien will always be the most interesting to me at least but I keep on hearing him faking it was non canon

Well if you are an Urien fan then it was canon ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

SF canon is so vague so hopefully SF V will clear things up.

My guess is it's a combination of both. Ibuki didn't fit in SF4 but they brought her back and turned her into an abomination. That's why you don't see me asking for anybody in these threads except for maybe some very light campaigning for Viper, Sean and Necro.

SF4's mechanics just didn't fit the SF3 characters, with the floatiness, jabs and vortexes. Once I played it, I didn't really want any SF3 characters to show up, because they would almost certainly have to be radically altered (which they were). From the first time I played the SFV beta, I was convinced that most of the SF3 characters would play well, because the gameplay isn't as wildly different as SF4's.

Also, saving some for later makes sense. You can't play all your cards at once.

lol wrong thread!

No use in wasting a post. Guys, I think I broke my beta. After hearing that Joe got in, I left my stick on turbo while I played a game of LoL. Now it's frozen. But get this, it freezes after reboot too. wtf...am I on the brown list?
