The face paint gave it away.
Everyone kind of figured it was him after really examining the blurry as fuck phone videos we got. And also to be fair it's a really shitty model of Alex.
I always thought it was Alex & not Axl simply because of the green pants. Color scheme is something Capcom *generally* keeps consistent with its characters, even for other series (i.e. RE).

Even so I still don't think that will be the case as they've said not everything will be purchasable with fight money. Rather than multipliers, they're just straight up charging Zenny for certain cosmetic items.

If people don't like redesign costumes then they don't need to worry because they are going to provide more alt costumes so we have more choices!
I don't really like most of alt. costumes for Street Fighter 4 tho.
Eh,i ddon't think alt costumes are excuse for having a bad normal design. think your character should be appealing out of the gate, and the costumes should supplement that
Me thinks they didn't really plan on putting Alex on SFV; after all if this is really a prequel to III, Alex isn't supposed to be street fighting yet.
So they just put him on the bg of a stage, with a random design. And now they start to believe there's actual demand for him beyond the polls and are caught with their pants down and Ono has to just say he is going back to japan with the idea of Alex in SFV.

I'm not saying that it's an excuse. If it just happened that we just don't like the designs, then there are a choice for us to change that when it's available for us to.
Remember, some people are very picky when it came down to the costumes and redesign.
I amm one of those people.
I like a lot of the alts in 4.
I hope in 5 there aren't technological restrictions for a lot of the costumes. For example the animal costumes, I think the only one who had an actual animal face, that moves was gen. I would like if they were just strait up animals. Like akuma literally being a bat out of hell. The new holloween costumes seem to be doing that through zombies might be easier to do.
Nah man, instead they'll release Tom (first original DLC character) and Alex fans will cry like when Zero got in instead of Megaman. Also Tom gets Alex's outfit as one of his alts.
Alex in SF6 though.

Imagine if Capcom wasn't actually going to put any 3S characters in the game since they're retconning everything before SF3. It was going to be all world warriors and alpha characters.

Let see how much it would cost us to buy single downloadable character? I fear that it might required us to grind for 60-100 hours to able to purchase just one character.
Well, we will kinda find out in couple of weeks since they mentioned that we could purchase a stage from the store.

Capcom has plenty of popular females that aren't from 3S and Balrog is a fine replacement for Dudley. More people certainly know him too since he came from SF2. Q hasn't even been in anything besides 3S.
