‘FIFA 16’ (-59%) scores a hat-trick at No1 this week as its unbroken reign at the top of the chart continues.

It’s now halfway to matching its predecessor’s six week unbroken run at the top in 2014. New entry ‘Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection’ has to settle for second place despite becoming the 8th biggest PS4 launch of the year so far. It also misses out on joining the recent trend for re-mastered/re-released titles to debut at No1 (such as Destiny: The Taken King, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition and Rare Replay).

‘Destiny: The Taken King’ (-35%) in fact manages to climb one place to No3, ahead of ‘Lego Dimensions’ (-68%) which slips two places to No4 in its second week of release. ‘Forza Motorsport 6’ (-41%) stalls, stuck at No5 for a second week, while ‘Grand Theft Auto V’ (-6%) speeds back up the chart to from No9 to No6 – its highest position for 6 weeks.

‘Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer’ (-55%) and ‘Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain’ (-41%) both drop one place to No’s 7 and 8 respectively. ‘NBA 2K16’ (-77%) remains in the Top 10, falling to No9, after launching strongly last week at No3. Released on Tuesday, ‘Rock Band 4’ developed by Harmoix and published by Mad Catz, brings the music controller style video game back to the Top 10, debuting at No10. The only other new entry to make the Top 40 this week is Activision Blizzard’s ‘Transformers Devastation’ at No21.

Transformers, no!

...I fear even Wonderful 101 had a better debut in the Overall (SKUs combined) chart, didn't it?

I hope that Rock Band follows the toys to life trend of selling better before Christmas because I want continued support for it. It would be a shame if the bare bones RB4 was the end of the franchise.

Would be nice to get a lock on what the 7th best debuting PS4 game was this year and get some UC collection numbers?

Anyone got an idea?

Drake had a solid launch but FIFA is a monster hanging on to that top spot.

Rockband is not doing great.. I wonder how the instruments and DLC are selling. That's probably where the real money is.

Another bomba for Platinum.

Ton of things working against Rock Band from a terrible track list, no marketing and the switch in the console market meaning DLC won't carry forward. Lack of online is a bitch too, it's just not an attractive package at full price even if you do still have instruments lying around.

I think Guitar Hero might do better since it's going for more of a fresh start, but I still can't see it doing well.

Curious to see if they hang around in the charts over the holidays but I always expected RB4 and the new GH to bomb.

Always seemed like a game for the die hard fans and I just didnt think a lot of people are willing to have plastic instruments cluttering up their living rooms again.

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection debuts below the PlayStation 4 version of Fifa 16. I guess some we had some unrealistic expectations when it comes to Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, it should be in Halo: The Master Chief Collection levels in order to get close or even beat Fifa 16 (all formats) sales.

In retrospect, The Last of Us: Remastered had a really impressive launch, and it was a Summer release.

Yeah, wow. That seems a little silly since I'm sure there's some cross over there. I know I might have to make a difficult choice
Or, you know, play something in my backlog instead and save some money.

Wait Tales is coming out this week? Damn I had no idea. Doubt I'll be able to finish it before God Eater and Halo come out.

Lots of bombs incoming.

Some quick numbers..

Fifa 2016
[WEEK 39] 939.000 / NEW
[WEEK 40] 244.140 /( -74% )
[WEEK 41] 100.050 ( -59% )

DESTINY The Taken King
[WEEK 38] 64.000 / NEW
[WEEK 39] 19.200 ( -70% )
[WEEK 40] 15.360 ( -20% )

sent to die.

Huh? Uncharted collection sold less than FIFA 16 PS4 version. That means it most likely sold less than 40K, 50K at best. (FIFA 16 is 100K this week)

Damn! Really underwhelming sales.

I knew Transformers was going to have an uphill struggle, but damn.

I also felt that Activision kind of threw their money away on what is an unabashed celebration of the G1 Transformer brand by not using the '80s logo. The one they went with looks cheap and dull, it's just not going to leap out and grab you by the nostalgia as intended.

Still, at least we got a damn good game.

Happy with Uncharted Collection. It was never going to get number 1 once games like Fifa and COD are released. I am surprised it outsold the Xbox One version of Fifa.

Poor Transformers it didn't even chart on the Xbox.

What was the cause of the huge Rock band gap?

I hope Dragon Quest and Tales of Zestiria at least chart in the top 20 for a week or two. These are the games I am most looking forward to.

It says 16th of Jan 2016, for cold steel on Amazon UK.

Don't worry brah it is the official holiday bundle so you know it will sell millions.

Thing is in the UK Uncharted only released Friday. Wednesday in tge rest of EU though, it's only had 3 days of official sales here. I've already seen the collection at the top of the charts in a few shops such as Hmv. I expect next week will be a different story when it's had few more days on the shelf with a whole week being accounted for rather than a couple of days.

People shouldn't panic about Uncharted. It didn't have a full week, it's a remastered version, it'll sell in a lot of bundles and it'll probably stay in the charts for a long time ike TLoU or Driveclub.

I'm glad Tony Hawk's Shit Skater is almost out of top40.

Position it did for individual:
http://www.chart-track.co.uk/index....p&ct=110032&arch=t&lyr=2013&year=2013&week=34
But units is unlikely due to Summer being low.

edit: Heh it launched the same week as Disney Infinity.

Wait misread what you said:
All formats all prices...
W101 was #22...http://www.chart-track.co.uk/index....p&ct=110015&arch=t&lyr=2013&year=2013&week=34
Transformers devastation is #21...http://www.chart-track.co.uk/index.jsp?c=p/software/uk/latest/index_test.jsp&ct=110015

That's not how it generally works. First "week" sales are usually higher than 2nd despite fewer days on sale. Uncharted will see a % drop next week. Though it would have to drop less than FIFA and make up for whatever gap in sales too to actually go up a position.

Chart positions in brick and mortar stores are usually paid for by the publishers. It's basically advertising space.

Anecdotally, the Uncharted bundle has been shifting a lot of units since Friday, and the game has been selling steadily. I think it will be a constant seller up to Christmas

Ok, I remembered it was one-two places higher than Transformers, it turns out it's one place lower. In the end, they had an almost identical debut (charts-wise...I suppose units-wise the difference isn't that much).

Not sure why there appears to be panic over Uncharted when we don't even have numbers. FIFA 16 was always going to be a challenge to overcome. This one will continue to sell right through Christmas, be it through bundles or price promotions.

It was never going to sell like absolute crazy out of the gate, purely because this is remaster of a series that's still yet to go mainstream. Uncharted 4 will be the one to push it through the stratosphere in my opinion - just a shame it's likely to be Naughty Dog's last entry.

Strangely enough, going by Amazon.co.uk, Dragon Ball 3DS releases on October 20th in UK, not 16th (which is actually when it releases on the eShop).

The actual release date seems to be January 29, 2016 although I haven't found an official statement. I don't know why Metro.co.uk has it listed for this week.

It's never had an official release date. Retailers bumped it back recently, presumably an unannounced delay on the XSEED side.

Also, amazon have Superbeat Xonic listed for 23rd October.

I don't know how 10 million (for UC3) is "yet to go mainstream", that's almost twice as high as Fallout 3 & Mass Effect 3 for example, & it was released on only one platform.

Regardless, I don't think UC3 sold that impressively in the UK anyway, wasn't it around 120k? So most of its sales were probably in continental Europe & other parts of the world. Either that, or it had impressive legs.
