If one category is "classic" and the other category is "characters we haven't seen in awhile", I think the best one could hope for is a character that isn't in SF2 but we have seen recently (i.e. SF4). So maybe Ibuki or Dudley?
It's probably just an SF2 character, though, and if it isn't a character FROM SF2 then it's a misdirect and it's Sagat from SF1.
If it is Sagat, the apprentice has learned very well from his master.

Yeah, after watching the lead up to him saying "not necessarily [a SF2 character]" he heavily implied it's an SF2 character. Saying things like "we all know who the classic characters are", "a lot of people in the know [narrowed it down]", and that he didn't want to give away too many hints leads me to believe it won't be much of a surprise. So Dhalsim, Guile, or Sagat is my guess.

IMO the roster is fine at 14. We don't need any more characters.
Remember, they also said the new character in Ultra wouldn't be a woman or a Bison doll. It's going to be Dhalsim then Alex and Urien as doc.
