Yup. This list is entirely controlled by PR and agencies. When they set Ms Clarke as the sexiest woman it was probably before Terminator Genisys was released and their pitch was 'Well, she's in Game Of Thrones and Terminator is going to be a huge hit'.

Fast forward and Genisys wasn't a big hit and won't spawn a franchise. While GOT is just as big as ever it doesn't change the fact that Emilia didn't break out the way they hoped she would over the summer.

I think that Esquire tried to get ahead of the curve on this and missed.

I find Clarke to be pretty terrible in Game of Thrones, but in interviews she oozes an adorable, humble, legitimately down-to-earth and funny persona and I find that really attractive. Obviously interviews are hardly an authentic insight into a person's full character, but going by those she just seems like a really cool, fun chick who doesn't have her head up her arse, and I find that very attractive.
