Xanadu NEXT, Little King's Story, Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus Head to PC in the West

PC is a really good platform for this. Not sure what you're going on about. Plenty of niche titles got good sales and following on PC. I would argue that it gains more of a new life on PC than on Vita. It IS a good start, lol.

Yes, agreed. But my post had nothing to do with it not being a good fit for PC!

And Little King's Story is far from a niche game, it was sold in supermarkets in Europe, not hidden behind the counter at a specialist game store like most niche games are (at least over here, anyway). It had a lot of exposure, and it was reviewed by major sources (like Edge, Eurogamer) and newspapers.

XSEED i still want dat Corpse Party, where is it

Oh, sorry, kinda tired right now so i kinda took it a bit like 'This is good news but i don't think PC gamers will really give it any attention'

or something like that

EDIT: Well, niche is wrong, maybe, but not an mega-production or super hit in any way. Or am i wrong? Can't remember it's numbers.

So about LKS. Gave it a shot on Wii. I found it terrible and looked like crap, imo.
Tried it again on PSV same experience just less crappy looking.
Note that I only managed 3-4 hours of each version. Does it get better or should I just file it under *not again*?

I'm excited for Xanadu Next. I'm interested in seeing Falcom's take on Diablo. I feel like that genre tends to be kind of stagnant normally.

It's more "in theory, this is great!" but I think this could have been handled better in another theoretical situation.

As for its performance, it seemed to do well in Europe for Rising Star Games. I'm guessing the mention of worldwide sales is referring to Marvelous' and XSEED's side of things:

Rising Star Games has revealed that despite modest worldwide sales, Little King's Story is doing well in Europe. Talking in a recently published interview, Rising Star's Product Manager Yen Hau went on record to point out that as well as receiving high praise from all media sources, the game "is still selling well to this day, something which doesn't happen often to videogames."

Guess it makes sense, as I mentioned it received a surprisingly large push from the publisher. Was really surprised to see it stocked in supermarkets here, so it was in the eye of the public back when the Wii was still king, as it were.

I will definitely get Xanadu Next. I might double dip on LKS during a sale. I have no interest in Senran Kagura, but that will probably end up being XSEED's biggest seller on Steam.

Depends on who's doing the port. Idle speculation: I wouldn't be at all be surprised if it turns out to be Tamsoft themselves, and they're porting it alongside Neptunia U. Conveniently enough, Idea Factory International has a press event of their own next week, so if they announce a NepU port, that's probably what happened.

It's interesting because the frame rate was never that bad during the game play. It was mostly bad when running around the "base".

Shinovi Versus? Not Estival, the new one that's already getting localized anyways?

Okay, it can go right next to BlazBlue Calamity Trigger on steam

Nobody should play the Vita version of LKS. It is a murderous bastardization of a tremendous and cerebral Wii game

And you people might know how much I love the Vita.

Now, the article says it's a port of the Wii version. But it also mentions the Vita version, which is a remake and also a harem simulator.

Which one is it?

Guys, if you haven't played Little King's Story before, do it! It's an absolutely amazing game. One of the best Wii exclusives, up there with Nintendo's own games for sure.

I think out of all these announcements I am more surprised that news embargos are required on ports of old games. It just seems.....strange.

Hopefully we will get some more up to date news soon.

From what I understand, Shinovi and Estival are 2 different games. Unlike Blazblue Calamity Trigger and Continum Shift... the latter being a newer version.

Screens show it's the wii version:

And before you go all crazy for the missing graphical effects, it's not releasing tomorrow :p

Is Little King's Story going to be the original, or the messed up Vita version?

Edit: Apparently the Wii version. Good, will buy if that's the case.

Never heard of Little King's Story but it looks pretty interesting.

Senran whatever whatever versus whatever looks like garbage made for horny 14 year olds. Pass.

Assumed from the thread title it would be the Vita version of LKS, really happy to see its the Wii one. I'll totally replay that, it was one of my favorite games from that generation.

Holy shit on PC?

DUUUUDDEEEE

Buying all of those.

Also hope they can improve the performance of SV with the power of PC. The game felt so sluggish after playing 2.

Did they announce an actual release date for Senran Kagura Estival vs? All we have for now is winter 2015 and that is really soon...

Should probably not trust the 7-11 security cameras quite so much
Thank god it's the real LKS and not the dumb Vita version.
